Hey...My husband was given a notice with the date and time of his oath ceremony right after the interview. They have not updated their website nor their application about his oath ceremony so we are a little worried on that.

 

About the I-130:

I-130 sent: June 5, 2016

USCIS notice of receiving application(sms): June 14, 2016

PD: June 8, 2016

NOA 1(Approval): May 10, 2017

NVC received: June 13, 2017

Case # assigned: June 22, 2017

Welcome Letter: Sept 19, 2017

DS 261 submitted: Sept 20, 2017

AOS Fee paid: Sept 20, 2017

IV Fee paid: Sept 21, 2017

DS 260 submitted: Oct 3, 2017

AOS+IV package sent: Nov 1, 2017

Case complete: Dec 15, 2017

We are not sure how long the upgrade takes but we were advised by the officer to inform the US consulate at Abu Dhabi about him being a citizen. It doesn't make any difference in our case based on us having an interview early as we have been waiting it out for 21 months now. An upgrade could benefit you as you are an immediate relative as soon as your spouse updates the case at NVC..and then you'll be scheduled your interview early..no more waiting.

My petition is not yet approved. You mean to say when we upgrade the petition, it will automatically redirect to NVC for the further process and I will get the interview?

NVC might take 2 to 6 weeks..but you don't have to wait for 1st chart anymore once your case is approved..things move fast as they process US citizen's spouse applications way faster than F2A. Keep your list of documents ready so you don't waste time on collecting them. As soon as the fees show paid...you can send in the AOS+IV package.

Thanks for all the info. But i dont know how soon USCIS approve my application after i send the letter to upgrade. I will have my documents ready for sure.

When they receive the upgrade, you'll be approved by USCIS sooner too. Chart B for April 2018 shows deadline upto Sept 2017 so you're PD is current on that..Just email in a copy of your spouse's naturalization certificate & call them up to inform you are upgrading to IR-1. You're almost done! 😊 Lucky you. Congrats!

I can't remember but as my green card and driving license expire in 3 weeks, he told me to make an info pass appointment so they could give me an extension and renew my DL.

Unfortunately it seems quite difficult to get a date. There is a ceremony tomorrow buy he had no idea of when the next one is although they have already sent  the letter which I am waiting for.

Hello everyone, I have my interview coming up in April going through my application I realized that I made a mistake on part 12 where it says pledge of allegiance 45-50 I was suppose to check yes for all but I check No .will this error affect my application? Anyone suggest on what to do ?pls I need urgent respond thx to u all

During interview, the IO will go over the n400 form with you and you will have the opportunity to correct or clarify everything that you feel it was a mistake or an error on your part. Wait until the interview, there is nothing else you can do at this time.

06-06-2017 - Credit card charged; received text and email confirming that application was received and NOA is on its way

06-10-2017 - Received NOA letter from NBC dated 06-05-2017

06-16-2017 - Received Biometrics Appointment Letter for 06-28-2017

01-19-2018 - Interview Letter sent

02-27-18 - Interview and Oath Ceremony. Finally US CITIZEN!

september 16-recieved pkt3

september 28- returned pkt3

Sent several emails to embassy asking when was interview date

Novemmber 2- email confirming 19th Nov as interview date

November 2- embassy posted packet 4 but it never arrived

November 10- rang embassy

November 11- finally recieved packet 4

November 19- APPROVED

November 23-recieved visa

december 31 2004 arrived in atlanta

2005

January 7 we got married

January 14 applied for ssn, not in system

January 28 still not in system

Febury 8 sent off aos and ead

Febuary 11 recieved in chicago

febuary 11 in ssa system

Febuary 19 recieve ssn

March 1 NOA for EAD arrived

March 2 NOA for AOS arrived

March 5 biometrics and fingerprint appointment

March 23 got drivers license

March 31 EAD approved on line

April 7 EAD card arrived

April 10 Got a job!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Octobe 13 case transferred to csc(aos)

December 24 RFE

January 19 AOS APPROVED
