Hi guys,

I know many of us went throw this waiting time for the interview, but I'm getting frustrated recently because I have several things pending, can't do anything because of the citizenship 

Please if you have any a suggestion or advice share it with me

So my district location is San Diego California,

Applied on 6/2/17

Confirmation letter received on 6/14/17

Fingerprints done on 7/3/17

After one month it changed to In line for interview 8/3/17

Since then nothing just waiting .....................................................

I called twice, of course, they don't tell you anything, I made an infopass and it was worthless.

 

When I check the USCIS website the timeline shows that as of 11/30/17 they are processing 5/28/17 applications which it is close to my date but you know the page last update was on Feb 1st, 2018, so I called a few weeks ago and they told it's still within the timeline even tho it shows that 11/30/17 she said to ignore that and look into the page when it gets updated.

So here's my main question I'm sure that the next page update maybe by the end of the month it will show for example June 15th or June 30th, that's mean I will not be within the timeframe of the processing. What should I do then? I'm really getting tired of how they processing cases!!

As long is under normal processing time of your field office you can't do nothing.I am annoyed to that its taking so long but its not like this country is owning us anything .We apply to the citizenship which is privilege .All we can do its wait.

I also applied early June, finger prints June 27

in line August 18... Until January 18 that I received notification that my interview was scheduled, finally interview for February 27! 

That's exactly 8 months from my finger prints

Hi Rami9,

 

I also have the San Diego field office. Unfortunately, there’s nothing you can really do right now, but there is another page you can check out for processing times.

 

Go to uscis.gov and click on “Make An Appointment”. After you click on “Inside the U.S.” and enter your zip code, you should see the information page for the SD field office. This office updates their information page with their own processing dates (May 2017 as of today). Not every field office does this. For the most part, they are still pretty much in line with the main processing timeline page, but I’ve seen where they sometimes update theirs sooner, and this could hopefully work to your advantage. Then, when you see that you’re outside EITHER timeline, you can try another Infopass appointment, and I’m sure it will be helpful the second time around.

 

Sorry I can’t offer much more help, but at least you know there are two places you can check processing times.

but I know them all

fortunatelly I helped a cousin of mine to study who applied in the January before me!

so it's like I know every question by heart!

March 23 2020: Received NVC email. Turns out i-130 petition was approved March 18. Found out by logging into USCIS account.

It is easier than you think! I suggest making your own flashcards and listen to audio whenever you can. I listen to it for two weeks before my interview in my car wherever I go.

Hi guys,

 

Just joined recently. I'm happy to see that quite a lot of you are finished with your process! Congratulations to you all!

Sadly, I'm still in the dark about where my application is.  I applied in end of May to NBC & they received my app on June 2. I had my FP on 6/13/17. After that, its all quiet on the Western front. I haven't heard anything! Checked online,  its still showing my FP status update only. I know that for Newark NJ office, as of Nov 17, they were working on March 2017 apps. So by extrapolating, I can assume (could be wrong) that in Feb, they must be working on June apps. But I'm just concerned that my app hasn't even changed the status to "in line for interview or anything! Wonder whats going on. :-(

 

Hoping I can get some info from any other NJ June filers out there.

March 23 2020: Received NVC email. Turns out i-130 petition was approved March 18. Found out by logging into USCIS account.

09FEB18 - Received electronic notification for interview scheduled.

Hey guys, so after spending an hour on the phone with USCIS folks, I learned something disturbing which as news to me, not sure how many others will feel the same. Its regarding the Processing time shown on the site. heres an example: 

 

Field Office Processing Dates for Newark NJ as of: December 31, 2017
Form Form Name Processing Cases As Of Date:
I-485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status December 11, 2016
N-400 Application for Naturalization March 27, 2017
N-600 Application for Certificate of Citizenship June 18, 2017

 

Last Updated: February 15, 2018

 

I used to understand the above chart like this: that as of Dec 31, 2017, the Newark office was processing N-400 cases as of March 27. This is what common sense & logic tells me.

But as to the representative, the Dec 31 2017 date is bogus/#######. It means nothing, n that I should just ignore it. The CORRECT WAY to read this table is that as of FEB 15, 2018, NEWARK NJ office was processing cases as of March 27. Now I dont know about you all but I was completely flabbergasted by this. How can this table be read like that, I have no clue. And if this is indeed the proper way to understand it, then why are they incorrectly displaying Dec 31st date on top? They also regularly updated it from Oct... Nov... Dec... Are they intentionally trying to mislead us? I am pretty mad by this, as you can tell..

Hey there! We sent hubby's application on June 7th and we learned in early February about our March 3rd interview date. They generally tend to go in the order that they receive the applications/ once the fingerprints are cleared. He was put in line for an interview in September. It doesn't even state that you have been put in line for an interview yet? I would probably be calling and asking some questions at this point.

I am in line since September 13th for an interview. My frustration is growing even more because I read in another forum that other june filers in the SF office have already been scheduled for the famous interview where, not being the official language, you have to pass an English level test.  Since they pay the same money I paid, why this is happening? And why in some offices they give you the certificate after the interview and in other offices you need to wait even more and go to their patriotic show? Are not we paying the same $800ish? My solution would be this: no fee. You set the fee. So if I pay the most than all other applicants,  my application should be taken care first. Rich first, poor second. Since they can play with our lifes and our future, including our american family,  why not with our wallets?
