As of last week, NJ had to send their applications to the lockbox in Dallas, Texas and that is what I did. I sent it last Wednesday and yesterday they cashed my check, today we received the text and email. So we are good so far! Just waiting on the biometrics appointment. Hoping hubby's interview will be around January/February since we are not traveling around that time and he won't need his passport.

Sent my package yesterday to the Dallas, TX lockbox guaranteed delivery time of 12 noon today - USPS Priority Express Mail with signature confirmation. When I tracked my package, it says "Your item arrived at the DALLAS, TX 75260 post office at 11:20 am on June 14, 2017 and is ready for pickup." Is this normal?????? No one has signed for it yet and has been delivered but says ready for pick up???

Yes it is. No worries. Someone will pick it up early tomorrow morning.  I had the same scenario.

Same thing happend to me too.

and it said delivery the next business day!

Hi there

I sent my application on June 1st via usps priority mail, they received it on June 5

got a text on June 7, and my check was cashed on June 8

already got my NOA in the mail

and on June 13 got a e-mail and a text that they mailed my fingerprints date

did u filled yours with a G-1145??

3/3/2017 (Day 257) - Received approval letter in the mail! 

3/13/2017 (Day 267) - Online status updated - new card being produced

3/16/2017 (Day 270) - Online status updated - new card was mailed to me

3/20/2017 (Day 274) - 10 year green card on hand!!

6/13/2017 - N-400 package sent via USPS Priority Mail Express

6/16/2017 - N-400 fee cashed

6/19/2017 - NOA date - Priority date 6/15/17

6/30/2017 - Received biometrics appointment letter in the mail for 7/12/17

7/5/2017 - Walked in Tustin ASC for biometrics 

8/10/2017 - Case is in line for interview

1/22/2018 - N-400 interview date scheduled 

1/26/2018 - Received N-400 interview letter in the mail! Interview scheduled on Feb. 28 

2/28/2018 - Naturalization interview - recommended for approval! :)

3/20/2018 - Oath taking ceremony :dance:

I have also done a email update request. But I haven't gotten any updates as of today. I am thinking it's because my application has not entered their system yet, even though it has been 7 days since they received my package. Just wondering , I see how there is an option to check the status online. How do I check it? What kind of ID do I need to check the status update online ? Also how can I get TEXT updates!! ? That sounds really cool!

You may check your status online only after you receive your NOA letter with your case number.  For updates via text/emails, there is a form G-1145 that needs to be filled out and attached to your application. I am not sure if this form could be submitted after you already sent your package.

The G-1145 is just for confirming receipt of your application and acceptance - if you completed this form and submitted it with your application it doesn't provide any more notifications after that initial acceptance.

 

@nintendonana if you want status updates on your case you need to go to the USCIS website, and where you enter in your case number to check status, if you instead sign up for an account.  You can't do this though until you have your case number.  Once you've added your case number to your account you can turn on email and text notifications.
