Welcome to the club. It will take 6-7 months from date of applying to get the interview done. Then add another 2-3 month for the Oath ceremony is you are approved at the interview. Its a 10-12 month process.

Believe it or not, about 2 minutes after I posted my last message, I checked the mail and I got the letter- Interview is set for November 2nd week. Good luck on your letters. I am sure it'll be there sooner than later. Does anyone have any recommendation on the "fastest" way to prepare for the interview?

7/18/2016 (Day 28) - Biometrics appointment done at Santa Ana ASC

2/28/2017 (Day 254) - Spouse received call from immigration officer verifying if we still lived together at our current address. He ended the conversation by saying we our approved and no need for interview

3/3/2017 (Day 257) - Received approval letter in the mail! 

3/13/2017 (Day 267) - Online status updated - new card being produced

3/16/2017 (Day 270) - Online status updated - new card was mailed to me

3/20/2017 (Day 274) - 10 year green card on hand!!

Absolutely nothing in my text or email. But I  just checked the uscis website and NOW i see an update. I don't recall seeing that there before though. It's so strange.

Hi All

I finally got a text alert, then an email that I am finally inline for an interview.

 

This is actually a bit faster than I had estimated which is great.

 

so please can someone update me to in line for interview with the online date of 10/04 or todays date as the clock is ticking again instead of being stuck in Purgatory lol

and if you get the chance to sit it out or dance.......

Hi all, 

Today i got a text message saying that my status has updated, when i checked, it says im in line for interview since 13th of September, which is strange because i checked my status last week and it said your finger prints were scheduled on such such date. Is it normal practice for USCIS? i'm worried because i have planned vacation out of US next month for 2 weeks and i don't wanna be worrying about my interview while i'm on vacation.

Legend:
GC-Date: The 'Resident Since' Date located on your first green card.
Sent: Date N-400 was mailed to USCIS.
Cashd: Date your check was cashed / credit card was charged by USCIS.
NOA: Receipt Notice Date Printed on your official I-797 notification.
Fprints: Date assigned for fingerprinting (Bio-metrics). If you do your biometrics via walk-in prior to your scheduled appointment, please enter the date in bold blue.
In Line: Date you received e-notification about the start of your interview scheduling.
Int Ltr: Date you received the official letter in the mail regarding interview.
Interview: Date of your interview.
Oath: Date Oath taken.
Field Office: Your local USCIS office where you will have the N-400
