I went to my interview yesterday in Philadelphia. The interview itself went well. I was told to expect an oath ceremony letter in the mail. I had almost a 2-hour wait because the office was packed as a result of the backlog of appointments from the previous day because of the snow storm. The backlog from the storm was also the reason why no one was scheduling oath ceremonies yesterday. They were focused on dealing with the many people in the waiting room. The room was so hot because of all the people waiting. The interview itself was straightforward as has been described here. The officer did not ask me for extra documentation. He also did not ask for a passport photo. He took one with his camera.

My status hasn't changed either. It all depends on your local office.

The USCIS processing time says my local office estimated time range is 13-18 months.

Hi Have you called USCIS and asked that you want to talk to a tier 2 person???

I did that yesterday and, an hour later, my status suddenly updated. Try it!

I didnt call. But i made inquiry online, and also did info pass. All they said was my case is still under normal processing time

It was funny. I asked why my friend did online filing and he finished in like 4 months. while i am filling papers and took way too long. The agent at info pass told me "it's normal, people are waiting for years now" lol, literally has no words to say.

I know. I regretted not filling on line when I saw people getting interview within 2 months of filling. I waited 8 months for my interview try not to think about this process it could drive you nuts. Can't wait for next week and be donde with the oath ceremony. I'll be done with USCIS once and for all. Wish you good luck!

When they receive the upgrade, you'll be approved by USCIS sooner too. Chart B for April 2018 shows deadline upto Sept 2017 so you're PD is current on that..Just email in a copy of your spouse's naturalization certificate & call them up to inform you are upgrading to IR-1. You're almost done! 😊 Lucky you. Congrats!

Hi. I am sure your husband is done with his Oath ceremony. Can you please let me know his experience and how long did it take in the whole process? I have an appointment with my lawyer so wants to schedule accordingly.
