Zero issue.  Same sex marriage is legal in the USA and you will be getting married here, after the K1 is granted.

Same sex won't be in issue in India. Unless you have a complicated case or red flags, save your money and don't hire an attorney. If you have a straight forward case, you can find out anything you need to know on VJ and do it yourself.

Agreed, this should not be an issue.  Also, review your case with each other and review the forms, as stated, if you think this is a straightforward application, save your money on a lawyer.

Just keep in mind that even with a lawyer you will still be doing most of the work.  Gathering information, and reviewing forms, and often times a lawyer can be the cause of more delays depending on their credibility.  There are several threads here that discuss the whole lawyer vs no lawyer topic, so I would suggest doing a quick search.  Ultimately it is your decision based on your own finances, and peace of mind, just remember that the immigration process can be fairly expensive as you continue your journey, so make sure you plan for the AOS and ROC phases.  So if you do go with a lawyer make sure you research them thoroughly.
