I always use orbitz..................I was looking for a flight to Dublin in April/May and I found one for $550.00. Try Travel Zoo-they will tell you the 4 best websites.

good luck

Summer is peak travel time for Europe. It will be nearly impossible to find "cheap" tickets to europe in the summer.

All I can suggest is to keep checking, and pray for a sale. It's not likely though.

Just got Craig end of March to end of April to England for 395.00 on Expedia..everything included. I always have found the best price there even over Orbitz, but I'm sure it fluctuates..good luck! M.

you could always try priceline or hotwire for cheaper prices. I think it has to be within 90 days of your travel date, but it's one of those deals where you dont know the exact flight times until you pay.

I did it for a trip to germany, and it came out to be $499 round trip with taxes included, versus $650 if I were to book the exact same (cheapest) flight from expedia or anywhere else.

Expedia, Orbitz, Travelocity and such always have the best deals, but it's nearly IMPOSSIBLE to find a cheap ticket to Italy for the summer. When we got our tickets for Feb they were barely $600, while now that we got the ones for june they were already $1200! :crying:

...I guess we'll just have to star planning our trips at different times of the year than Christmas/summer, because those two are the worst to travel! But hey, Christmas and summer in Italy are soooooo good!

Good luck, and keep us updated!

Irishgirl try going directly to the aerlingus site for Dublin. Their prices can't be beat. We have used them several times now and they have specials all the time.

I also found that some of the time you get better prices booking directly off the airline.

I find this to be true of Continental Airlines. Might be using them on my flight to either Halifax or Montréal :)

Thanks I will do that

I would have to travel to JFK from Philly-that is why I always end up going through Orbitz. I have a $150.00 travel voucher from US Air(because they lost my luggage for a few days), so that helps. I also got an e-mail from Orbitz today..............If I book a trip before 3/31 I get $200.00 off!!!!

The problem-I won't know by 3/31 when his interview is going to be-it figures

I have read here before where someone going through Dublin called the embassy & told them that they(the US citizen) was going to be in the country such and such a date & they moved up the interview date. I may actually book something & then if I have to change it I will pay the difference. If I can use the travel voucher and the Orbitz coupon, my flight would only be $200 ;)

Might work out better for me that way.

I spoke to someone at the embassy & they told me he would probably have his interview by end of April, early May...................which would be really nice!!!!!
