Question for everyone:

Our status changed to "At NVC" on Monday and the AOS information disappeared from the other webpage. My husband called the NVC and confirmed that we did receive a case complete that day. This morning we received a Checklist saying that they would still schedule the interview and to bring two documents. One is a W-2 that our lawyer forgot to include which covers about a week of work as I started a new job in the middle of December 2016. The other is a certificate of good behaviour from the Netherlands from when my husband live there. It seems weird that it happened two days after being told our case is complete. We were so confused. Did this happen to anyone else?

Thanks, all!

Hi, the same happened to us. We got case complete on the 28th. And then on the 31st they sent us an email asking for a recent or updated W2 2016 and proof of citizenship of my sponsor "my father in law" to be brought to the interview.

Same here we got cc but  received a checklist for 2016 W2's for joint sponsor and seems that we have an error on the I864 that they don't tell us were it was so we have to bring a new signed one at the interview.

The same thing happened to us!! We got case complete on 8/3 and received a checklist on 8/4  to bring to the interview. 2016 W2's from joint sponsor 2016 Tax Returns and a corrected I-864 from joint sponsor. I have gone through the I-864 and still can't find the error.

So how does one get an updated 1-864 for their sponsor?  I live in Norway with my Husband and my mom is sponsoring us.  She signed the papers when she was here last.  I guess she will have to just mail us the signed copy if we need a new one.

I wonder if the error they are telling all of you is to update the 2016 taxes on the i-864.

Congrats to all of you!! Looking forward to hearing about your interviews!

Congratulations of the CC! BTW there is nothing to be concerned about receiving a checklist after you were told that you case was completed. This just means that they have the necessary documents to complete your case and schedule an interview. You would just have to bring the items listed on your checklist to your interview. This is actually good because others have to send documents to NVC and their processing time resets back to 11 weeks!
