Hi! I am also Brazilian, but I live in UK. I have sent my permanent resident card with my documents, but when I called they said I also needed to send an e-mail to asknvc. I did so, but so far I have not heard anything from them. Last time I called they said my embassy was still in Brazil. Did you also need to send this e-mail? Or do you think the copy of my  permanent resident card that I have sent will be enough? Thank you very much!

Thank you everyone for this helpful and warming forum ;)

Hi :)

Ugh they didn't ask us for an email, so not sure what to tell you. Now you make me want to call th again and double check.

I don't want to give you wrong advice, so maybe you should give tjem another call too just to be safe? Good luck! :D

Finally, did you file by mail or CEAC upload? If CEAC upload, you can join/follow the following forum.

Thanks, JBMG. I will post in the checklist thread :)

I'm not sure if I fall under "filed by mail" or via CEAC because we sent our documents by mail but filled out the DS-260 online...and I can log in on the CEAC website with my case number... I've learned lots but still so much I'm confused about haha

Hi! You're mail. Everyone as far as I know filed DS-260 online and then you get the confirmation page which you print out and take with you to the interview.

Did you say anywhere when you sent your application you wanted to change embassy? Or you just filled everything out with your address in Canada?

Thank you :) I will let you know if I hear anything

Welcome aboard! 😀 what's your scan date? And well it really does depend on the country you're interviewing at (I was born, raised and still living in Saudi Arabia but my interview will be in Sudan! And no one has info about it).

Anyway, it takes 1-4 days up to 30 days for them to review a case. Like what they "NVC" tell you when you ask...it takes them up to 11 weeks. But at least you're under review! ! If you are on your 9th week, I suggest you call and ask if the case is actively being reviewed.

CASE COMPLETE!

OMG!

I was pending review on Monday of this week, Tuesday of the same week went under review. Today, Friday! !! My hubby checks ceac and finds it at NVC "he didn't even know what it means so he asked me and I went crazy!"

Scan date: 14/6/2016

Case complete: 28/7/2016

Thank God million times.

I can't remember who but a member of VJ said it's better to be "proactive" rather than "reactive" and it was the best advice one could give around here, so thank you!
