I just want to share my experience with FCA LLC US. I have a Jeep Commander which I want to bring with me when I move to USA.

I have been reading forums before, about their horrible experience with Chrysler and how they would not issue a compliance letter.

I phone the number that was on the NHTSA site and talked to a lady who told me they don't release compliance letter. She asked me to call an  import expert broker. I did not believe what she said so, I went on to their website and did an inquiry and within hours they replied with this.

I request a compliance letter and I fax it to them on May 30th and I got the letter on June 1.

Thank you for contacting the Jeep Customer Assistance Center.

We provide an import compliance statement for Canadian residents

are importing the vehicle for their own personal use (not for sale,
business or crossover purchase). To process your request, we require the
following information:

?    A copy of the Canadian vehicle registration showing the name and
license plate number of the individual importing this vehicle.

?    Signed statement from the importee that the vehicle is for their own
personal use in the USA.

?    Current odometer reading specifying kilometers or miles.

?    Proof of immigration such as a copy of their visa or the letter with
the offer of employment.

?    A mailing address to send the response.

Please fax all of the above to 586-497-2112 - Attention: Technical
Support Team.

If you do not meet the criteria listed above, you must contact the EPA
office for a list of licensed importing companies at 734-214-4100.

Thank you again for your email.  Should you require additional
assistance, or have any new information to provide, please reply to this
email message or call 1-877-I-AM-JEEP (1-877-426-5337).
