Struggling getting info on photo requirements

So, I cannot seem to find one concise answer about photo requirements for the K-1.

i have 10 physical photos of me and my fiancé together. Are they going to return these? I just ran into a few threads saying they will return actual physical photos that are used for proof and only accept multiple photos printed on one page. Is this true?

And my second question. For the passport photos would it be acceptable to have 5x7 photos taken then cut into 5x5? I really want to avoid any reason for them to send my package back.

Nothing will be returned to you, so don't submit originals of anything. They will accept photos on one page, loose photos, photos in clear plastic baggies.. etc.

I'm ok with not getting the photos back, I've got digital copies too. I just read I'd potentially get an RFE if I sent photos in plastic baggies. I really want to avoid adding any extra time to the wait if I can

My fiancé had his interview today and they returned the 6 original photos that we submitted with our packet at the end of the interview after his approval.  That is the only thing they gave back to him but he did get them back (although we were not expecting that).  I don't know what the rule of thumb there is so I would say to expect not to receive them back but be glad if you do.  Haha.

To be honest, it depends on who gets it on whether you'll get an RFE or not. My fiance sent a couple of pictures in a clear plastic baggie. It was just random pictures of us together.

For some, this would have a caused an RFE, but when he had written the declaration of meeting, he had indicated that we had stayed together since the first time he had left the US i.e. we moved to Cambodia and live here now so the pictures weren't all that important as proof of meeting within two years because he's still here with me. Our addresses are also the same, both physical and the mailing address (my parent's address in america).

TLDR: It depends on both your situation and the person who gets to handle your case.

No idea where you read that. I think the VJ guide even recommends a plastic baggie. Our passport photos we stuck in individual plastic baggies paperclipped to the form. Our photos for evidence we sent were placed in clear sheet photo protectors, but there is nothing wrong with putting them in a baggie and paperclip/acco clip them to the forms. You don't get an RFE for baggies.. you get an RFE for things that are missing, lack of evidence, improperly filled out forms etc.

That's a new one by me lol. Were these photos new evidence the fiance brought in to the interview and asked them to look at? As far as going into the original I-129F package though, no originals will be returned.

I submitted my photos by printing them individually and putting them in a plastic baggy and we did not receive an RFE. That doesn't guarantee that you won't get an RFE for it, but I would think it is extremely unlikely that you would get an RFE for this reason unless USCIS loses the photos, which has happened before. As others have said, it often depends on the individual who is looking at your case.

I may just send some additional photos printed on a page just in case then

I've got some photos from 2015-2017 and we have been living together for the last 10 months but now I am returning to the US. My statement includes this and we have photos over an extended period of time. Hopefully this won't cause an RFE

I think you'll be fine... the pictures and other stuff like it are more important during the actual interview.

No, it was the original photos that we sent with the I-129f packet back in December.  He didn't present any additional photos today.  I thought it was weird too but oh well. lol

Would be a 5x7 cm photo then cutting off two cm on the width to make the photo square
