my fiance is from a muslim country. after he's arrived, we're married, and he has his green card, i would love to be able to travel to other foreign countries together... i worry about the countries he'd be allowed into because of his passport. would being married to an american/having an american green card make it easier for him to get in places? or would it change nothing? :help: i'd hate to have to wait 5 years for him to get an american citizenship (that is, IF he even wants a citizenship change) to be able to travel the world.

any ideas on if its true? or ideas on where i can look up this information?

thanks!

#1--Yes, he will be able to visit SOME countires more easily once he is a US Permanent Resident (Green Card). Use this handy tool to check any country you like (thanks, Yodrak!) Travel Visa Info Tool

#2If he wants to naturalize to US citizenship, he may apply under a waiver for spouses of USCs after THREE years of Permanent Resident status instead of five!
