You know what?!  Try getting your case expedited.. You don't have anything to lose by trying that.. At least while you're waiting for the new police certificate receipt/copy..

Thanks @cadtousa for writing this up.  I've known someone else who gave similar advice.. Since then, I always try to encourage those with a checklist to get in contact with a supervisor as it could help them decrease their processing time.. I've tagged the following. I hope they'll benefit from your advice.

Here is Cadtousa's story taken from her notes on the spreadsheet.

I got a checklist in 10th week (June 09th) and then sent my proof of Canadian residency which they received on June 13th.After that we tried expedite but got rejected after 1 week saying we need to give fair chance to all applicants. My wife tried calling many times and spoke with supervisor and explained them our situation and checklist for just one document PR card. One nice lady (supervisor) told us she will send it for supervisor review. And we were able to get a callback from same lady after 4-5 days and she reviewed our document on phone and told us she will complete our case. detailed response can be found on June 2017 thread. also one more thing we used lawyer and she never helped us to get out of checklist.thank you all.

Good luck to you all. Hang in there folks.

Actually,If  Joint Sponsor ( Husband) Income is Sufficient only  I-864 you have to send

If you are using Joint Sponsor wife Income then I-864A is Required...But In Interview CO Sometimes they ask to file I-864A

I don't know.. but you can try.. I would submit the request on July 1st.. this way if they do see it, seems like couple months away since your last request..

Hello, click on the following links to check your IR-1/CR-1 visa case status:

Check My Visa Application Status

DS-260, Online Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration Application

If it says "At NVC" and your AOS information is missing.. Then you most likely have a completed case (CC)... Please call the NVC to confirm. (they're closing in 12 minutes!!)

See Example

I've discovered that the processing times may depend on the country you come from. So on our spreadsheet, sort by interview city and see how long cases from your country took to get their CC's.

If your status still reads "Action required: Submit requested documents", you can call the NVC to ask if your case is under review. But honestly, I don't see how this really makes a difference as some people stay in review for 1 day whereas others 14 days+.. And the NVC doesn't always tell you if you're under review.. I would start calling the NVC after normal processing time for your country or after 9 weeks, whatever is later..

Please update the NVC Case Status Spread Sheet - 2017  with your latest status.

  • If you have not received a CC or you are not under review, update your notes.
    • "June 26 - Morning - Called, still not under review"  (please put date first in your notes).

Here are instructions on how to edit/save the questionnaire.

If you have lost your questionnaire, you can redo it, I'll delete the duplication.

Scan date on 5/4 and I was waiting for a CC soon. I got a Checklist on 6/26 due to an incorrect Police Clearance Certificate :( I called NVC now to confirm what I already knew. I cant email it nor can my wife bring it to the interview I need to mail it in and again wait for 9 to 11 weeks for them to review this. This really sucks. I know I made a mistake and sent the wrong PCC but this wait all over going :(

Any suggestions from anyone? I have not yet mailed the correct PCC as I just got it yesterday.

can you please give me more detail about what was wrong in PCC you submitted at first place ?   was it not issued from Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) ?

in my case petitioner is Wife (USC) stying in US. The beneficiary is husband (staying in India).

Main petitioner (Wife) have zero income. But petitioner's parents are going to sponsor (here parents are HouseHold member)

Now I-864 for the main sponsor is required (Petitioner - wife with zero income)

But for parents what form should be submitted, I-864 (as joint sponsor) or I-864A (as Household member).. this is the confusion

Oh no! That sucks.  I'd say call again couple of times and talk to different people and request them if your wife could take it to the interview instead. Whats your embassy? I know someone from Delhi embassy was asked to bring to the interview. However in my case I was asked to send it to them but I never knew I call and request. I guess it really depends from officer to officer to make a decision. No harm in calling again few times and trying your luck to save another 8-11weeks. Keep us posted. Good luck to you!

Any suggestions on possibly requesting expedite after fees have been paid and packages sent? Packages should arrive Monday. Completed DS-260 yesterday. We were stuck at USCIS for over 309 days. Never an rfe. Basically case was misplaced. So really wanna see if we can speed the process up. Simple I-864EZ. No co sponsors. No red flags other than what they consider a high fraud country.

Wow, I'm so sorry it took so long. I thought our 225 day wait was rough but I can't imagine 309. I'm not sure if they'll expedite based on that information but it's an automatic no if you don't at least try.

Thanks. That 309 was a typo. We were actually approved 1 day before the year of filing. I'm gonna try either way. Its been so long at no fault of our own.
