@mcgg - Can you please share with us your interview experience? Your timeline is blank and does not have any details of your case.

This experience could help us a great deal!

I have detailed my interview on the Consulate Review and attaching it here now.

I had my interview on 25th May and received my visa on 30th May. Paid the green card fee before departing for USA. My PoE was Boston and the experience was hassle free. The officer took the packet I was carrying from the consulate, made entries into the system and stamped my passport. No questions asked. The endorsed visa is considered as green card for 1 year and DoS is expected to print and mail the actual green card within 120 days of entry to USA. I received my Social Security Card within the first week of my arrival into USA.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I know Mumbai Consulate is always busy and tight on security. Wait times are too high.

Congrats on successful interview.

Congrats when was ur scan date ?

My scan date 04th April.

Actually, I got a checklist in June 2nd week. got rejected for expedite last week as well.

And I was able to get out of it as it was only 1 document and we asked many supervisors to consider it. And finally, one nice supervisor helped us and made our day.

WHAT?!!?!? That's FANTASTIC!!!!!! have you called the NVC to confirm? Please update our spreadsheet with your cc!! :) Congrats!!! woo hoo.. Finally. ;)

Here are instructions on how to edit/save the questionnaire. :)

Thank you @JBMG for your help. Well actually it was live CC on phone so no need to verify as supervisor confirmed on phone and worked on our case when my wife was already on phone with supervisor. I have never seen such case where a supervisor verified a document by checking a file when we are on phone. So she verified my PR card document and then told it looks good. And she verified other documents including police clearance validity and she said everything looks good. Now I will complete this case in my system by end of day and in 1-hour status got changed.

yes, very true @chamma ... my wife called many times to get a good supervisor. also many times they didn't forward call to a supervisor saying they are busy or in the meeting. but my wife always insisted on a call back from them. And yes they gave call back on same day whenever we requested for a call back from a supervisor. And off-peak hours worked for us. So for everyone if you have a 2nd scan date for minor issue please call them insist for supervisor review. And yes Amanda and Todd are very helpful in NVC team. so try to talk with them.

I carried everything I submitted to NVC and USCIS and the updated bank statements. The interviewing officer asked my husband to take out the bank summary of his various accounts and that was it! What information they ask at the time of interview varies from case to case. Since my husband accompanied me to the interview, I guess I was let off easily even though people who were interviewed before me were asked to show a lot of evidence.

I will say, carry all you have submitted earlier and updated financial details.

yes we did mention the bank assets in addition to the employment details and last three years Income tax filing details. Well, we tried to avoid getting a RFE. But still slipped with the birth certificate and received RFE!
