Hi Dre,

I have sent birth certificate. Actually I am born and citizen of another country and PR in Canada. But we already sent PR card to USCIS for I-130 and for NVC docs they have not mentioned regarding proof of residence. So anyway now we have to wait again. :(

Sorry to hear this. It really does suck. I am also in Canada (although on a working visa) and, as mentioned, I didn't send in proof of residence because it was never listed as a requirement. It is very unfair to have to wait another 8-11 weeks because they didn't bother to list something as required but I got nowhere talking to them otp

I'm having this issue right now. I called and she said to email my proof that I paid (receipts from NVC along with a printout of my bank statement showing the fees were taken out). I did this today. Did they tell you why this happened? I paid on the 6th of June.

hi there was a glitch in the system but it took 2 week to clear the payments i was going crazy..... when u call ask to speak to a supervisor you have to be stern but not be rude

Did you send same birth certificate? or birth certificate was actually wrong?

The birth certificate I submitted was a handwritten version of the certified birth certificate, which uscis didnt have any issue with but NvC requested for a computer generated one after my initial review

How can I check my status? I paid fees a couple months ago and my lawyer hasn't replied to me. Is there any way I can see if he actually submitted our papers?

You should have a receipt number and a NVC case number, first 3 letters relate to your embassy. IF lawyer has not given them to you you need to telephone otherwise  if you have them log-in here  https://ceac.state.gov/IV/Login.aspx

actually it is a problem because i paid my fees and it took 2 weeks to clear because nvc kept updating the sight i along with numerous other ppl had the same issue even if you sent the documents in before untill the fees are cleared u wont receive your final scan date........ and yes it helps to call nvc

Its not a problem if your documents get to nvc before you fill out your forms i understand it will delay your scan date by a week but thats the only cconcern..i sent my documents way before i even paid the iv fee

Last week got checklist for birth certificate....

We cannot accept the birth certificate document you sent. You must send us the correct document so we
can continue to process your case. To see the guidelines for your document, go to our website at
http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/fees/reciprocity-by-country.html. Enter your country of birth
in the box at the top of the page. The next page will be your country's "reciprocity schedule". Click on
"Birth, Death, Burial Certificates" on the left-hand side. This will take you to a page with the exact
requirements for the type of birth certificate you must submit to the NVC.
If your documents are not in English or the language of the country where you will have your interview,
you must include a certified translation. The translation must include a statement that says the:
 Translation is accurate
Translator is competent to translate

------------------

I check reciprocity page and all the items describe on that page are in the birth certificate, does anyone know if calling to nvc and speak with supervisor and explain that birth certificate is correct will help?  Lawyer send a letter explaining that certificate is correct and also sent a copy of the bc again our new scan date is june 9. I am worry I do not want to wait another 10-11 weeks to get a checklist HELP!!!

same situation here. We sent all paperwork (including birth certificate). Received a checklist asking for the same birth certificate that we already sent. New scan date June 7th. :(

Yes I believe I have them. The same I used to log in to pay my fees? We had our I-130 approved and our fees paid by April.  We took all our papers to the lawyer and he has not replied to us I feel like we are literally wasting time and it's frustrating plus I'm not too familiar with anything

Please invite people to the June scan date. :) forum

Clary, you can do that by simply copying  and pasting the link of the forum into a message. It's a bit too early to get a lot of followers as we're just June 13th..If I were you, I would start to gather up June scan dates at the end of the month and into July..

If you have a June scan date. Please join the following forum.

Hi,

If you have your USCIS case number, you can call the NVC to get your NVC case number and 'invoice id' (iid) number. When you get them on the line, also ask them when they received your documents, this will be your scan date.

*****Call the NVC to confirm******

Hi Guys... I am new here.

My Scan Date: Apr 5th

CC Date: Jun 7th

I have 10-year multiple entry visitor visa  (B1/B2) stamped on my passport and valid till 2019. I have made multiple trips to USA in the past 2 years. Now my immigrant visa case (NVC) review is complete and waiting for interview to be scheduled. At this juncture, can i travel to USA on my non-immigrant B1/B2 visa to USA? Is there any legal issues? I have an urgent personal travel requirement for 1 week to USA. My interview is not even scheduled yet, i can defiantly come back well before my interview date. I just want to know if i am breaking any law by travelling on my Non-immigrant Visa while my immigrant visa is at interview stage? Anybody please throw some light.

Thanks
