Actually my husbands interview is on the 14th.  In the checklist we were asked to  bring my 2016 W2. But I am also sending my tax transcripts with him just in case. However the taxable income is lower than the gross income and that would put me below the poverty line guidelines. So I was just wondering if they look at the gross income or taxable income.

Ah, ok understand.  Like we always say here, better safe than sorry.  If you are worried about it, then maybe you should get a joint sponsor lined up just in case.  Some people in the position where they had barely made it over the poverty guidelines were asked for joint sponsorship at the embassy.  It can totally happen.  So if you are worried about not having enough, or as stated above your situation, maybe a joint sponsor wouldn't be so bad.  If you are asked at the embassy you have it ready and if not asked, at least you had it ready for a "just in case" scenario.

I just realized this recently too.  I didn't know it was a competition.  Lol.  :jest:  Ok all jokes aside like you, I post what I post, I'm not in it to win it though.

Just hoping some people can find value in the information I can give.  I'm still learning as I go, and very happy that I joined this site.  That is coming from someone who never interacts or gets on public threads or forums.  I normally go ninja style and simply read and watch, but if I can even give a hint of information to just one person, that still lets me know I am doing something right.  Especially emotional support.  I think most of us know by now how stressful this entire process is.  Stressful is even an understatement, really.  So if I can't give information, then I would hope to give someone mental strength to continue to push forward.

Finally, I really have to reiterate what many others on here have said before, but I really appreciate the time and care you take to reach out to others on here @JBMG.  You are doing great work!

I know, and it's clear from your post that you're not looking for points, you give great detailed feedback/support. Always enjoy it and look out for your feedback when I have questions. Thank you for joining us and not going ninja style. :P

Haha..this is really an interesting post. If it's a competition, then let's see who is winning..LOL. I am here from 2nd May when my case was with NVC in it's 6th week. So definitely I can't compete with people who are here for months or quarters or years. Still if my presence can make them feel it's a competition then it's a compliment for me and it proves that i am doing a great job here. Some are here from the time they sent files to USCIS..I feel bad for myself that I could never find that much time. I don't believe in just making statements or giving any random info..that's the reason I have always shared the snap shots of every document I could and from the time i am here. Sorry I am not here for any competition. I am not an expert so just share my experience in contrary to just giving opinions. We are not here to share out thoughts or opinions..this is real life changing process for all of us and we need facts and figures here. So even today whatever I said about PCC, I gave the snap shots of my own PCC. The forum is open. Why didn't anybody else do that to win the competition. Making comments on others are very easy but it takes effort, dedication and courage to actually help someone. From whatever I have learned from the senior members here, it automatically becomes i responsibility to follow the legacy and give this forum back whatever it has given me. I would not be here for too long so competition can continue amongst the rest. Do tag me when you announce the winner.

Oh, and about my post and the whole "competition" thing.  I was using sarcasm on that. :)  Just in case anyone wondered otherwise.  I agree with everything you said.  Well, almost everything.  Respectively of course. ;)  About giving opinons, I absolutely feel that is what forums are all about.  Of course we need facts and hard evidence, but I think some of it is also opinion based as well.  I think the idea of throwing around ideas or feelings about a matter or an issue is great especially when you have man heads put together to give advice.  That is what makes it so special.  This website would be nothing without it.

...and of course I will tag you when I announce a winner! :jest::rofl:;)  Well, maybe my opinion won't count will it?  :P Doesn't matter, I think you're great! I very much value the time and efforts from everyone here.
