I received this notice about a week after I got the CC confirmation over the phone. After this I called each week (this is the third week since my cc) with no good news. After calling on week two after my cc I was told I will be informed when I get an interview. I king of got the impression that calling was frustrating for them, and was not really giving me any new information. I won't call this week. I guess I will just wait for the new round of emails to see if I get lucky. I know my embassy doesn't get nearly as many cases as some of the other ones on here but I suspect because of my visa category I will experience delays for scheduling. I think the spouse cases are processed with higher priority (I understand and agree that there is a higher urgency being separated from a spouse, than there is for me to get back to my job - but my gosh this waiting and not being able to plan anything or get on with life is torture of the most acute kind).

This might be common knowledge, or if this is useful at all on here but I thought that I should share in case someone was wondering. You can go to the following page to get a rough idea of  how busy your area is, and how many cases are processed by your embassy monthly. I believe the most recent data is for march and April. (in case you all are like me and are quietly going mad as you wait for news :D)  https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/law-and-policy/statistics.html

For specifically immigrant visas this is the link. https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/law-and-policy/statistics/immigrant-visas/monthly-immigrant-visa-issuances.html

I decided to do the consular processing instead of adjustment of status because I wanted to be able to leave the states and see friends and family that I had not seen for the better part of the last decade (I bitterly regret this decision. I would advise adjustment of status to anyone who is considering what option to use for their green card.)

I am not sure if this is the correct location to post this: I have noticed there are very few employment based members here. For those out there, after the roll-out of the new NVC website - my case has looked exactly the same. It has been "AT NVC" since before I got my CC. The usual signs, I'm guessing will be of no use to us.

Wow, what a great share. Thanks for the links! Surprised on how many cases they have in Paris, but when I compare their numbers to other countries, I can see others being way more active.. We're such a small percentage on this forum compared to what they're processing.. :) Thanks again for the share. Hope you receive your August interview date very soon. ;)

Ok, found these that may help define what we are looking at here.  Hope this helps!

https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/tax-tips/Taxes-101/What-Is-Taxable-Income-/INF15613.html

Also this....

Taxable income is the amount of income used to calculate an individual's or a company's income tax due. Taxable income is generally described as grossincome or adjusted gross income minus any deductions or exemptions allowed in that tax year.

So I guess they do look at gross income only?

This is a great post and thank you for sharing.  In a way I totally feel you when you say not a lot of cases are getting processed through your embassy compared to others.  About 98% of people going through the Moscow embassy are K-1 visa filers and most of the information dedicated on the country portal is geared towards that visa.  The most recent spousal visa filer was DCF.  Basically from the time it took her to go from USCIS to interview I was still stuck in Nebraska!!!!  All other IR-1/CR-1 filers I could find were from 2-3 years ago...go figure.  I just can't win!  Lol. :P:rolleyes:

It's all good though. B-) I have everyone else here to share my time with, so that makes it totally worth it.

I have not yet received the e-mail yet.  I should get it by end of week unless interview date is assigned sooner.  However, my case is also "in the queue awaiting interview date assignment" as per NVC rep.

For Islamabad, it usually takes approx. 10-15 days after CC to receive P4 so I may not receive CC confirmation email at all.

Stay strong and positive. That's the key 🔑 to complete this journey successfully. Good luck 👍🏻

Are you asking this in regards to the i-864 form

He was asking in regards to his transcripts I believe, but those reflect whatever is put on the I-864.

Oh my goodness that is a long time to be stuck in processing. You are so right, waiting in a group is so much nicer. This website is everything when progress seems to crawl at a snail pace. Hopefully you get an interview soon too.

I agree in that case that he should use whatever was put on i-864 but if he is filling out the i-864 then he should be very careful.

It is simple but at the same time made very confusing. Basically if you have filed 1040EZ form then you should use adjusted gross income on the i-864 otherwise you should always use the total income on the i-864. If you do not follow these instructions then you will get a checklist to correct this and it will cause delays.

So crazy, but in a way almost normal for todays time given our electronic usage.  Almost common now.  We just had our first ransomware attack a week or two ago here at work. Good thing our awesome IT guy caught it early and it didn't affect our entire network.  Pretty nasty stuff though.

Actually my husbands interview is on the 14th.  In the checklist we were asked to  bring my 2016 W2. But I am also sending my tax transcripts with him just in case. However the taxable income is lower than the gross income and that would put me below the poverty line guidelines. So I was just wondering if they look at the gross income or taxable income.

Absolutely.  It says in the instructions too, but as we all know on here, mistakes do happen. :)
