Hi, just received the "Now in the queue awaiting an interview" letter. Nice to see some progress.  Have all of you received this letter already? Especially for those who have been waiting for an interview date for over 2 weeks? My status still say "AT NVC" and my AOS info is not there which I understand is normal. ;)

===

The National Visa Center (NVC) received all the requested documentation for this immigrant visa case.  The applicant is now in the queue awaiting an interview appointment overseas, where a consular officer will adjudicate the applicant’s visa application.

NVC schedules appointments one month in advance.  The U.S. Embassy tells us what dates they are holding interviews, and NVC fills these appointments as they become documentarily qualified.  Most appointments are set within three months of NVC’s receipt of all requested documentation.  However, before applicants in a numerically limited (preference) visa category can receive an appointment, their priority date must also be current.  This can delay receipt of an appointment.  You can track your priority date using the Visa Bulletin on travel.state.gov.

When an appointment is available, we will notify the applicant, petitioner and attorney (if applicable).  The applicant can prepare now by reading about the embassy’s interview requirements online at nvc.state.gov/interview. Thank you for your patience.

The embassy may require additional documents at the interview.  For example, if the following three items are all true, the applicant must bring a new police certificate to the visa interview:

He or she is more than 16 years old;
The police certificate submitted to NVC was obtained more than one year ago; and
He or she still lives in the country that issued the certificate.
The applicant should not make any travel arrangements, sell property, or give up employment until the embassy has issued a visa.

Sincerely,

National Visa Center

Yes, I received this as well.  At the bottom it also had my case number, beneficiary name, visa category, and the USCIS priority date.  Status says same thing as yours,  "At NVC".  At least from when I checked yesterday. :)

I have not yet received the e-mail yet.  I should get it by end of week unless interview date is assigned sooner.  However, my case is also "in the queue awaiting interview date assignment" as per NVC rep.

For Islamabad, it usually takes approx. 10-15 days after CC to receive P4 so I may not receive CC confirmation email at all.

How did you get it so early after your CC?  Or simply it was just luck?

It is a theory that the NVC allots dates at the end of the month. Most of the times it has been true (based on the availability shared by the embassy)

I got my CC at the end of the month & hence received my interview date early.

LOL. Did you know there are actually "winners" of the most likes in a day? You almost won a few days ago. ;)  I don't post for likes although I don't mind getting them. :dancing:

I just realized this recently too.  I didn't know it was a competition.  Lol.  :jest:  Ok all jokes aside like you, I post what I post, I'm not in it to win it though.

Just hoping some people can find value in the information I can give.  I'm still learning as I go, and very happy that I joined this site.  That is coming from someone who never interacts or gets on public threads or forums.:ph34r:  I normally go ninja style and simply read and watch, but if I can even give a hint of information to just one person, that still lets me know I am doing something right.  Especially emotional support.  I think most of us know by now how stressful this entire process is.  Stressful is even an understatement, really.  So if I can't give information, then I would hope to give someone mental strength to continue to push forward.

Finally, I really have to reiterate what many others on here have said before, but I really appreciate the time and care you take to reach out to others on here @JBMG.  You are doing great work!
