Eignes, form I-864 where you are able to list other family members are for people who have derivative family members immigrating with them.  Since you are in the immediate relative category (IR-1/CR-1 visas) if other family members, such as children are immigrating, they would have seperate visa petitions and would also need seperate I-864's filed for them.  So let's say you have 2 children, then they would each have their own I-864's filed for them.  I know the forms get confusing because many of the forms we fill out are kind of a one size fits all.  We fill out only what is applicable to us.  Hope this clarifies things.

Thank you for your time to write me😊

That's what my husband did. He did 3 forms for us.

That's y he don't understand y NVC asking for that.

If u notice, what I shared on my daughter checklist NVC no question for her I-864.

Only me and my son questioned for that.

But my husband did what NvC instructed to him. He called 1st to Nvc b4 he fill up that form coz he was confused that time to that.

So he just wrOte what exactly NVC told him to do

Yes, most def. :) Because they have all those copies. But since you have the tax transcripts, those will work perfectly. :) Better for the reviewer too. Whoah.. can't imagine the box you mailed into the NVC

I did see the checklists, and if he called NVC and did what they told I guess you should be ok? I hope you get it all worked out!  Let us know what happens and keep us posted.  I'm sorry if I am sounding like a broken record on here right now answering questions that have already been answered.  Lol.:jest:  It's been a long weekend and I am now just playing catch up on this site. ;)

Yes I did apply for IR1/CR1 for my husband. So is there no fee that has to be paid at the embassy? I wasn't quite sure to begin with.

Hello VJ community.. This was posted on a separate thread.. I found it interesting because I remember a NVC rep saying "No, the USCIS doesn't send us anything"  And this would make sense because people received checklists for items that were originally sent to the USCIS..

But then I read the following.. Anyone can clarify how/why this is the case?

Does anyone know if USCIS will forward all the Evidence of a bona fide marriage to NVC or Embassy Consulate officer?

Yes, everything you include in your petition is forwarded to NVC and then to the embassy. When you go to your interview you will see the entire bundle in front of the interviewer.

Can also confirm that everything you submit with the petition to USCIS is there at the interview. Not sure why someone would get a checklist for something already submitted to USCIS, because they receive the forwarded petition. We got a checklist due to an error on NVC's part, so they can be pretty sloppy.

Yes I think where they are so overwhelmed with so many files they tend to make errors. I got a checklist to bring W2 to interview and I know that I sent them. They also placed an x to say that the person didn't file 2016 tax returns but I never ticked that box.

Yeah, I saw this thread too and found it interesting because I read confilicting information all the time about do they or do they not send everything.  I actually read quite a while back when I was doing research about this very same thing.  I honestly can't remember the thread, and I wish I could post it. It was an older thread from a few years ago, but extremely informative about this exact topic.  I may go digging for it later. :)

Anyways, I believe the original question on the thread was someone asking if it was ok to "front load" or "side load" with realtionship evidence to make sure that all information eventually gets to the embassy.  So basically this guy did research to see if in fact the USCIS really does send everything to NVC and so and and so forth.  He called numerous times to the NVC and the USCIS until he got the answers he was looking for.  His research concluded that some things get forwarded and some things don't.  I myself have always read that everything you send to the USCIS eventually ends up at the embassy, but apparently this research that was done pretty much stated that not everything always does and that no one really knows for sure.  He also said that it was completely ok to provide extra relationship evidence when submitting everything to the NVC if you don't mind or if you choose to do so.  Some people may or may not know that already.

Really want to find that thread.  If nothing else, it is quite an interesting read.
