I still stand by those comments. Our visa paperwork was looked over very meticulously when we presented it at the interview and the wet signature was absolutely required. The person reviewing our documents thumbed through every single page of the Affidavit of Support for myself and for our cosponsor and they studied the signature to make sure it was authentic. My attorney made a point of telling me we absolutely needed to have the wet signature.

The announcement that wet signatures are no longer required is extremely misleading, very confusing, and completely false. The way it is stated in the article makes it sound like just a photocopy is ok, but my opinion is that NVC allows photocopies of the signature for purposes of completing the case, while the wet signature is required at the embassy.

I completely agree with you.  Even though it is posted on the NVC website, I am still bringing the "wet signature".  I am not taking any chances.  Some people at the embassy may or may not care, who knows.  Either way, I am taking an original AOS.  I don't want any delays or problems due to a signature!

Dear Sir/Madam,

The National Visa Center (NVC) received all the requested documentation for this immigrant visa case.  The applicant is now in the queue awaiting an interview appointment overseas, where a consular officer will adjudicate the applicant's visa application.

NVC schedules appointments one month in advance.  The U.S. Embassy tells us what dates they are holding interviews, and NVC fills these appointments as they become documentarily qualified.  Most appointments are set within three months of NVC's receipt of all requested documentation.  However, before applicants in a numerically limited (preference) visa category can receive an appointment, their priority date must also be current.  This can delay receipt of an appointment.  You can track your priority date using the Visa Bulletin on .

When an appointment is available, we will notify the applicant, petitioner and attorney (if applicable).  The applicant can prepare now by reading about the embassy's interview requirements online at . Thank you for your patience.

The embassy may require additional documents at the interview.  For example, if the following three items are all true, the applicant must bring a new police certificate to the visa interview:

· He or she is more than 16 years old;

· The police certificate submitted to NVC was obtained more than one year ago; and

· He or she still lives in the country that issued the certificate.

The applicant should not make any travel arrangements, sell property, or give up employment until the embassy has issued a visa.

Sincerely,

National Visa Center

Still waiting for an interview. CC on June 14. Hoping to have one scheduled this week.

I had already sent my last 3  years of tax returns to NVC. Would my husband need them again at the interview?

Everything you sent to the USCIS and NVC, bring those originals to your interview. :)

Yes, most def. :) Because they have all those copies. But since you have the tax transcripts, those will work perfectly. :) Better for the reviewer too. Whoah.. can't imagine the box you mailed into the NVC

Anyone who have idea for this?

============================================================
======
Please make the below corrections to your Form I-864 or gather the requested financial
evidence:
[x] In Part 3. Information About the Immigrants You are Sponsoring, please correct the following:
[x] Item 3.a. through 27. This case's visa category does not allow accompanying family members; therefore, you
cannot list family members in this section.
[x] You must submit the following financial evidence:
[x] Your __2016_________________________________ IRS transcript from the most recent tax year. You can get a
transcript on the IRS's website: irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript. If you cannot get an IRS transcript, please send a
photocopy of your Federal income tax return and a copy of every Form W-2 and Form 1099 that relates to your return(s). Do
not include copies of these forms if you provide an IRS transcript for your Federal individual tax returns rather than
a photocopy unless you filed a joint income tax return with your spouse and are qualifying using only your income.

Eignes, form I-864 where you are able to list other family members are for people who have derivative family members immigrating with them.  Since you are in the immediate relative category (IR-1/CR-1 visas) if other family members, such as children are immigrating, they would have seperate visa petitions and would also need seperate I-864's filed for them.  So let's say you have 2 children, then they would each have their own I-864's filed for them.  I know the forms get confusing because many of the forms we fill out are kind of a one size fits all.  We fill out only what is applicable to us.  Hope this clarifies things.

Interviews this week!!!!!?!?!? Thursday?!?!

Hopefully, we'll start getting our August interview dates on Thursday June 29th. From our spreadsheet, they actually gave out a July date on May 23rd, but that was for an expedited case..  But on May 30th, gave out several July dates. So knowing this, they could start giving them out the last 2 days of the month.. :)

Well they're done with July dates.. If anyone gets a July date, it could be because of an cancelation or the embassy opened up new dates.. but normally they're done with July.. This is what the NVC has told me and others on here..
