Thank you dear

Cairo

I am having problems registering for the courrier thing......should i choose CR conditional spouse visa?(as my marriage date is less than two years)?

How can i find detailed guidance to get done with the registration bit plz?

You're welcomed.

I'm creating a guide right now with pics.

I had a difficult time just logging into my husbands account; It said the same thing about 'error with captcha'. (This never happened to us before.) Anyways I made a new account just so I could make this guide. I hope it will be useful to you and others. I will share in a little bit once I complete it.

You would choose CR-1. :)

I have learned so much here on VJ and just want to share what I've learned with everyone else. It makes this journey that is so tough a bit bearable and easier.

@JBMG You are awesome and have helped so many people with your spreadsheets and your positive attitude. I wish for and your husband all the best in your coming interview and your lives together in the US.

Thanks sweetheart 😘😘. I try to share whatever I have read elsewhere and have learned here as much possible to the people looking for any specific info. Though I don't pitch in to a great extent but I try to dig out information if it's in my ability and my schedule permits me. What I don't do is, give any incorrect or incomplete information..rather I suggest them to explore and find an expert to answer the question.

no.. sorry.. yeah, it my understanding that you have to get the 10 year one first.. because you can only apply for nationality after 3 years of legal residency in the US.. There are certain exemptions.. Can't remember exactly but I think if you're married to a government employee stationed abroad, it could be possible.. .. So for example, if your American spouse was stationed in Taiwan living with his Taiwanese spouse, you could apply for citizenship after 3 years of living together.. Never needing residency in the US. I could be wrong but I think this is what I remember reading some years ago..

My interview was expedited.  It said at NVC until the file was transferred to the consulate.  Then it said completed.

My case was expedited and skipped the 11-week processing at NVC.

CEAC status went from "SUBMIT REQUESTED DOCUMENTS / Case currently at NVC" to "READY / Case currently at COLOMBIA"  when the case file was transferred to U.S. Embassy in Colombia.

2 days later, my husband (beneficiary) received email from the U.S. Embassy in Colombia with instructions to schedule the interview via their website.

So point # 1 is a known reason for a wet ink to be asked. For all the documents sent electronically, the original signature are required to be brought at the interview. As NVC never vetted them.

In my case, I sent the AOS package on 06/07/17 (2016 IRS Transcript included). I didn't know I could have just sent them a photocopy of the I-864 so I sent them the original (wet ink signed) document. I filled out another I-864 having the exact same information than the one I sent NVC and signed it, and that's the one my husband is going to take to his interview. He'll also take the photocopy of the one sent to NVC just in case.
