People who have their upcoming interviews/CCs and waiting for interview

I am  going ahead to my interview my Extensions for 2016(with approval) and IRS Transcripts+W2s for 2015. I had submitted the same to NVC and CC without checklist.

Question: Has anybody followed the same approach with their interview? I remember somebody with a F2A from India doing the same. But just need to know if anybody has followed the same path and hasn't had any issues (just to lift up my spirits :) ).

Still no interview date. SIGH! I guess I should start crossing my fingers for August. Hopefully this tedious process will be over soon. It is encouraging to see lots of dark green on the spreadsheet though.

Hi all   We are very happy.   Our Visa was granted this morning.   I will write a more detailed description of the interview later.   The entire process took less than 1 1/2 hours.  They asked about 4 questions and did not even ask to look at any photos.   The boards have been great to follow everyone and I wish you all best of luck with your interviews.

@NewComer, I would take an updated I-864 with you.  I agree with @chamma and the others that you should bring your old I-864 that you sent to the NVC, but if you have your 2016 tax information definately update the I-864 with this new information.  The CO looks at this and ultimately makes the final decision, not the NVC.  NVC only checks the I-864 for discrepancies and corrections, as well as makes sure that you are set with the poverty guidelines. The CO is the one who will make the final decision on this though.  I also agree with @JBMG about calling the NVC just as a double check.  Even if you don't get the answer you may be expecting, at least you called.  Better safe than sorry, yes?  Here are some more threads that may further help:

This one is from 2015, but I am sure you may find it informative.

Okay so now I am confused about the AOS. In our checklist on our checklist it said that there was an error on the Affidavit of support and there is an x placed next to what says bring all 2016 w2's. Does this mean I have a to complete a new AOS. Also in other hand I am thinking since I switched jobs during the process I should be doing a new AOS anyways?

The only thing, that I didn't have was affidavit of support, which is rarely needed in this type of cases.  But they asked for it. So I called my lawyer and she was shocked.  questions, were mostly about the job and nothing more.

Hi, I'm curious if you resolved the issue. Have you submitted the affidavit? Did they issue a temporary refusal or what status is your application in right now? Hope all goes well, it must be very frustrating to go through this.

Yeah, you should def bring the most updated info... Things change and like @Erin&Alex said, it's the CO that makes the decision.. The NVC simply just verifies that we have the right paperwork for our interview.. Def bring the original AOS form but most likely they'll only take the updated version.. I imagine for many cases that didn't have the 2016 taxes on their original form they submitted to the NVC so now they will have to submit a new AOS form with that 2016 info..  Be sure to bring any 2016 tax transcripts (which you can now order as of June 15th), if you can't get the online access or get it mailed in time, def bring your 2016 w2's..  Just my advice to have MORE paperwork than you need.. let the CO tell you what is not needed..

What exactly was the error?  If there was/is an error on your AOS, then you should probably correct this error on a new form and bring that with you.  Also, if you were requested to bring your 2016 W-2's and info. then of course yes, bring it.  The most current tax information I see is always going to be asked for.  Especially since most everyone should hopefully by now have their taxes completed or filed extensions, etc.

About your job, you may or may not even have to bring that up unless asked or unless you feel it is pertinent to your situation.  If you want, you can always bring current paystubs or an employment letter on company letterhead to satisfy any current changes in your job if you are questioned about it.  Always bring evidence and back up to explain anyting that you put on your forms.

It does not state the error. But right underneath that section it says bring 2016 w2s.

@MLK2016 Did you have to submit a new AOS form to include your 2016 income?
