Actually it no longer has to be signed physically.  They are now accepting photocopies of the signed Affidavit.  @JessieABC posted something about this a few months ago, as apparently it is a new rule that was recently put into place.  In my honest opinion and just to be on the safe side, I am personally bringing a physically signed copy or "wet signature" just in case.  That is just me though.  Hey, you can never be too prepared right?  Regardless, it is now acceptable and up to you whether you decide you want a physical or photocopied signature. See this link below:

Thanks Dre876.

I got CC June 13 and I just got email correspondence today, it stated:

Dear Sir/Madam,

The National Visa Center (NVC) received all the requested documentation for this immigrant visa case.  The applicant is now in the queue awaiting an interview appointment overseas, where a consular officer will adjudicate the applicant’s visa application.

NVC schedules appointments one month in advance.  The U.S. Embassy tells us what dates they are holding interviews, and NVC fills these appointments as they become documentarily qualified.  Most appointments are set within three months of NVC’s receipt of all requested documentation.  However, before applicants in a numerically limited (preference) visa category can receive an appointment, their priority date must also be current.  This can delay receipt of an appointment.  You can track your priority date using the Visa Bulletin on travel.state.gov.

When an appointment is available, we will notify the applicant, petitioner and attorney (if applicable).  The applicant can prepare now by reading about the embassy’s interview requirements online at nvc.state.gov/interview. Thank you for your patience.

The embassy may require additional documents at the interview.  For example, if the following three items are all true, the applicant must bring a new police certificate to the visa interview:

•    He or she is more than 16 years old;

•    The police certificate submitted to NVC was obtained more than one year ago; and

•    He or she still lives in the country that issued the certificate.

The applicant should not make any travel arrangements, sell property, or give up employment until the embassy has issued a visa.

Sincerely,

National Visa Center

My priority date is June 29, that’s a current priority date right? I’m confused as to what this whole “Current Priority Date” thing is.

I would still call the embassy and see what they say. It is better to be proactive.

Does anyone know how long it takes NVC to transfer a case to the consulate (India) after approval for expedite?

Generally they transfer it in 3 to 4 days tops, but courier time, time to update allow 10 days

ANY ONE HERE WAITING FOR AN INTERVIEW IN HAVANA, CUBA?

WONDER HOW LONG IT WILL TAKE TO SET THE INTERVIEW, AND IS THE EMBASSY THE ONE WHO SET IT AFTER THEY RECEIVED THE CASE OR HOW DOES IT WORK?

I think it may be for all countries.  I was told the same information when I got my CC's.  That July was all filled up and they would start setting for August intervew dates end of this month.  @zizou2017 I believe was told the same thing.
