Enjoy your trip. :)

A neck pillow and eye mask does wonders for those long haul flights. :)

In the past the trip back alone has been long, long, long, long.  This time with hopefully good news it will be much happier.   :)

Thanks again for your hard work on the boards

I'll be having my interview soon and eventually I will need the affidavit of support which my wife is going to send to me. My question is: can she just email me the affidavit of support Or she should MAIL it to me to Morocco?

thank you for your response, everyone.

@Moe house I think it has to be physically signed...  Anyone have any advice for Moe House?

We are trying to get some help from Denver, CO to ensure that I've filled out the I-130 correctly. I am absolutely terrified about making a mistake, knowing it can make my wife have to stay longer in Belgium.

With that said - I'm still here in Belgium, the US Embassy outright refuses to talk to us unless we get special exception, even if we did - it would take 4-6wks, and by then I'll be gone from here, so filing in Belgium is impossible (also they make it impossible to pay the filing fee from here). I am feeling completely lost & heartbroken, frustrated and pulled back and forth. The I-130 form on here is not up to date, so it's not a help to me. I am 100% a visual & hands on learner, so without a physical review to tell me our paperwork is ok, I'm terrified. Also, I have tried to set an appointment with https://my.uscis.gov/appointment - none available, EVER - so how do I make this happen? When I return to CO, I am a full time worker and full time student in Colorado Springs (1hr:15min south of the Denver office) I literally don't have the ability to just show up for a day and wait there.

Otherwise, we have no one review our papers, and just submit them the day after I land in the US to get this going. My wife is also terrified about the process, I consider ourselves lucky we don't have children, but we haven't been able to speak to a single person on a phone about the issues. She has so many questions, especially since she's in Belgium and I'll be in the US, she feels she'll miss the information. USCIS also doesn't get back to emails, I've reached out before and it took 15 days for a reply - 15 days! and they didn't even reply to  my question - it just let me know they got it.

I'm sorry to burden anyone here but we're feeling the pressure and I really didn't think it would be this hellish to find help (like a person we can actually talk to - can't afford lawyers, so please don't suggest that, we appreciate it though).

Thank you for listening to me rant - if you know of any successful number, or have advice, again I'm grateful. Best to you and your own visa journeys.

Hello everyone.  I remember reading somewhere a discussion about using a visa service.. A service where they help you gather your paperwork. They verify you have collected the right documents, etc..  You still do the work but it's just an assistance company... I think this could be very useful for @HKMyers .. I think it was 500 USD?

He inquired the embassy and they said registration will be done on the day of interview. No need to register beforehand.

Hi Mojk, I believe our interview is a week before than you guys. Will share when done IA (Different visa category though). Btw, did you guys register the appointment on US travel docs website, I couldn't find a way to do that on thw  website. Also, I heard there is some fee to be paid at the embassy, are you aware how much is it and how is it to be paid? Is this fee payment after or before the interview process? Thnx

I have a i-864 checklist and they said i could submit a photocopy, so if my sponsor signs the original by hand scans the pages and sends them to me to print, can I submit that or is that considered as a computer generated signature?

Hello,

I call when I found out there had been a changed in the status the AOS was missing and then they informed me clase complete. 2 weeks later I call to see if they had given me interview and she said yes and within 24 hours I received the email of interview notification and the letter arrived 2 weeks later. Make sure they have your personal email.

It's an official document. All documents you bring to the embassy have to be originals. The NVC is the only that can accept copies.. If you're worried about not being able to get the document in time of the interview. Maybe you can bring that copy, but have it in the mail to be delivered to the embassy? This you would need to confirm with your embassy though..

Actually it no longer has to be signed physically.  They are now accepting photocopies of the signed Affidavit.  @JessieABC posted something about this a few months ago, as apparently it is a new rule that was recently put into place.  In my honest opinion and just to be on the safe side, I am personally bringing a physically signed copy or "wet signature" just in case.  That is just me though.  Hey, you can never be too prepared right?  Regardless, it is now acceptable and up to you whether you decide you want a physical or photocopied signature.
