Hello Everyone I am trying to get as much help as I can. My original scan date was March 3rd and after 11 weeks of waiting I got a checklist. However last week I sent a request to the NVC to expedite my case and they approved my request and said that my case was sent to the US consulate in India on Friday. Today I was able to go on the consulates website and schedule an interview and biometrics screening for my husband. But it seems too good to be true. Did I do something wrong? Should I have waited for the consulate to contact me?

Just to update you. Had interview today and was approved.

Please ensure to have your documents ready (photocopies etc) and also make sure you have the photo as per requirements (they need to be 2inch x 2inch).

Best of luck to you all and thanks for the information on this forum!

Congratulations

Does anyone know how long it takes NVC to transfer a case to the consulate (India) after approval for expedite?

We are dealing with a different Consulate but it took 13 days for NVC to transfer our case to the consulate.   The transferring process is not the sending of a physical file.  It is sending the file from NVC electronically to the consulate.

Plane ticket purchased and almost packed.  Leaving tomorrow night for a 22 hour trip and an interview on Friday.  You will all have your interviews soon.  These forums have helped with the wait which at times have been frustrating.   Good luck to all.

Nope, this is the forum for that. But maybe you can join your country's portal. You'll find others from your country giving useful immigration tips/advice.
