The consulate we are going through - Taiwan -  requests among other things:

-for each financial sponsor a photocopy of the sponsor’s IRS transcript or most recent U.S. federal income tax return.

My parents are my wife's financial sponsor. Does the consulate just want the signed AOS document and the latest tax return info... or are they going to need a copy of the entire package of AOS we submitted to the NVC which includes a ton of additional information to support the tax return ( stocks sold for loss, etc. that was quite thick. ) .

Which seems redundant.

Will they need my AOS  as the petitioner, even though I am not a financial sponsor. I understand that I need to provide proof of domicile, and relationship (photos, letters, etc.) , Your original marriage certificate and a photocopy.

I am just concerned that I will need ask my parents to send the ENTIRE AOS package.

Hi @DeadFish, please join this forum to find others preparing for their interview.

Whatever copies you sent into the NVC, you need to bring those originals to your interview.  The NVC purpose is to verify that you have all the correct documents for the embassy to review.

Is it true? They're finished with July interview dates?
There are 16 CC cases from May and 3 cases from early June who are still waiting for an interview date.. Seems strange that you haven't received an interview date. Please get in contact with the NVC and update us on your status.

Here are instructions on how to edit/save the questionnaire.

NVC Case Status Spread Sheet -  2017.

If you have lost your questionnaire, you can redo it, I'll delete the duplication.

NVC Case Status Questionnaire -  2017

Thank you and CONGRATS to those who have received your interview dates. Appreciate your updates to our spreadsheet. Wishing you luck on your interview and move to the US. :)

CC on May 19. It's June 19 now so a month has passed but I still don't have an interview email notification. Is this normal? But seeing from this forum that there are others like me, maybe it is? Before this, how long did it usually take for others?

Question, has anyone received a checklist after the case has been completed? CC 06/15, this morning (6/17) at 1:14am we received an email stating that we need to request 2 police certificates and bring them to the interview.  We are assuming it might be because they are expired, due to the fact that NVC takes forever to process and some of the certificates are only good for 3 month.

Does anyone heard about that before?

This is very common.  In fact, in Guyana, the expiration date on the immigrant visa is the same as the expiration date of the updated police certificate (approx. 6 months)

Is there a reason why the status of my case has not changed on CEAC?

It will say "At NVC" for most of the process.  Once your file is at the local embassy, it will change to "Ready", and when visa is issued, it will say "Issued".  On our interview day, after we were approved, it said "Administrative Processing" before changing to "Issued"

People who have made through the POE - Can you please tell me if the consular officer asks you to confirm your US address again at Port of Entry?

I might move into a new address(not sure as of now)  hence the question. I want to know if we are allowed to modify our address at POE.

No they did not; it may depend on the actual officer.  You can mention the change of address at POE, but to be on the safe side, go to usps.com and forward your mail to the new address as soon as you know that you are moving.  You can also call USCIS and tell them about the address change.

The last time I called they said they wouldn't be able to tell me any information on the interview. That was about 3 weeks ago. I'll call again later tonight. Maybe it has something to do with the visa class...? But I do know someone who is EB3 too with a cc of May 22 who received the interview email on June 6 and has an interview date of July 26, so I can't tell or make a guess how nvc / US embassy does the scheduling. :(
