HEY EVERYONE!!!!!cc June 1. Called today june 13 to hear if there's interview at 2pm they said no. Then i called back today at 730 pm and they said the interview was scheduled for july 13th!!!!! Thank you allllll for all the info and support, you guys are the only thing they kept me sane!

Side question; when we get approved do i have to move everything at once or can i go and do the port of entry without all my things and then come back a week later and start my moving? I was scheduled to go in August for a religous function but that wil be my first entry after the interview so i was wondering if i do my port of entry then and i can come back after a few day and prepare fully for my move?

@JBMG Hey! 😊 I called NVC just now and I found out our interview has been scheduled!!! I am in tears of joy!!! I burst into tears when the representative told me to go grab a pen and paper to write it down. 🙏 Interview appointment date is July 31 in Mumbai Consulate!!! I have updated my questionnaire (this time I'd saved the email to edit my response). I left the "interview notification date" column blank because I didn't get any written notification yet, only by phone as of now. Thank you so much and I pray everyone gets their interview dates as well. ❤️

Hopefully by this date next month I will have my visa in hand. Interview is on 11th.

Tickets are already booked for 28th for washington dc. My POE is DC (IAD). 27th july is my last working day in office. I am so excited to meet my husband and in laws waiting for me eagerly.

Don't you have any PF to settle? I'm settling my PF this Friday after I receive visa because they require Visa for PF and pension settlement. I left the job on May 31, 2017 because of all the settlements I had to make before moving and I wanted to move ASAP.

As you rightly said, they need the copy of your visa and at my work place a copy of ticket as well. Once the last contribution for the month of July is transferred to my PF ac, my HR rep will get my claim processed. It anyways it has to come to your account directly. And now the PF claims can be done online as well provided your employer has informed the PF office about your last working day. I don't want to take chances of doing it online as it's newly launched. So handing it over to HR is safest option as i can still track of it. I will be joining the same organisation there in Washington DC from September (probably).

My UAN is all in good order. It's just the last month contribution they would wait for. Else the other settlements like last working month salary and gratuity they transfer online within 30 days of leaving. So that ways i am actually sorted. And if at all i still face any issues my family here would take care of it. Also I have multiple colleagues including my bosses to help me.

Sure my family also offered to take care later, but I just didn't want to make my dad roam around with government department. You know how it is. Also my company is very small and the HR didn't even know how to approve someone's KYC. I showed her how to do it. She doesn't check regularly for any new approvals she may have to attend to. Recently we are facing an issue in it the digital signature is not working and hence they can't approve any KYC. They have raised a complaint with PF office, but I have no hope of that getting resolved any time soon. Luckily I found a person who works in PF office who said he will take care of offline claim soon as I have my Visa. I will collect my passport tomorrow and apply for settlement on Friday.
