Our Biometrics appointment is concluded today.

 

We we're let in at 9:40 for 10:00 AM appointment and I was out by 9:53.

Please remember to bring your passport size photos for appointment, because even though the website and appointment confirmation page states otherwise, they will ask for it. Although if you don't take it with you, it won't make any difference.

 

Now waiting for the Consular Interview tomorrow at 7:30 AM IST.

Does anyone know if they have stopped scheduling interviews for July? Also, how long after getting a phone confirmation of a CC until email comfirmation of the CC? Finally, once an interview is scheduled, how long is it usually until one recieves an email (how many days between the date the interview appointment is scheduled and when the notice actually arrives)?

My best answer is a long time.   My cc was June 1 and even though I have an expedite for the interview, the file has not yet been sent to the embassy.  Just keep saying to yourself, this is the last step.....

The above message simply meant that " Your Case File "  is at your country's embassy " READY " and waiting for your interview date....  If you already have an interview date, Just show up on that day, nothing else is expected. If you do not have a date yet, you will get one soon.

 

 

There is no set timeline for this, and it varies by different embassy. I have seen on this forum that people get Interview dates after CC between.... 2 - 4 weeks or more... It just depends on the country's embassy and the amount of appointment slots they have for a given month.

I hope you both get your Interview dates soon..

My bad.. I now do see a few have gotten scheduled in Montreal for July. Just checked the visajourney.com IR-1/CR-1 Spouse Visa Timelines..

Approved. I was let in at 7:15 AM for 7:30 appointment. I was out by 9:15 AM.

 

For people whose interview is at Mumbai Consulate, try to select your local language for interview, it takes a lot less time to get to your interview. The only reason for my late interview was that I select English language for my interview.

 

I will post detailed interview experience at a later time when I reach home.
