I'm headed to Austin. I can just imagine your paranoia. Totally sucks what happened to you.

Yes, I got a letter from the consulate to say they'd received my file. It came a few days after your interview was cancelled so when I first saw the email I instantly thought the worst. I can't recall how long it took for it to say 'ready' but around the time I received the email from the consulate. If your status has changed to at least in transit you should be fine. That's the first status change once your interview is booked.

And the the consulate will ask you to email them to reconfirm your interview. It's all in the email they send.

Thanks for the heads up! I will definitely keep an eye on my email and the ceac status change.

Happy packing!

I'm clueless when it comes to the financial aspect of filing. My wife is taking care of this as I'm the alien (never liked this word lol ). Can u post your checklist letter like mine. Maybe then the situation can be understood better. .

Our checklist letter was the exact same as yours. They want us to submit the US sponsor's W2 forms for 2016. I just realized that I claimed about 100 dollars in income on my taxes from a small job I did for a US company, so maybe that's why... The company never sent me a W2, so I've requested that from them. If they don't send one I guess my spouse will just take the 2016 transcripts to the interview and a signed affidavit explaining why I don't have W2s? Does that sound right? Anyone? I guess if I don't have a W2 I didn't have to claim that income, but I was just trying to be honest

How long does it take to get an interview date after the CC?

It  really depends on how busy your country embassy is, and there is no Set date for this, like CC. They " Your country embassy " tells NVC what dates/time slot they have for each month, and NVC fills the opening. Hang in tight, hopefully yous should get a date very soon.

Hello all. Just wanted to ask does it take NVC 11 weeks to review additional documents they request through a checklist? If yes is there any way to speed up that process since its just one piece of paper they requested.

Hello, Need some advice here please ... my case status shows the following today - I already have an interview date from NVC so which scheduling/notification are they referring to in the text below?

READY

Your case is ready for your interview when scheduled at the U.S. Consular section. If you have already scheduled an appointment for an interview, please prepare your documents as directed in your appointment letter and appear at the consulate on the appointed date and time. Otherwise, please wait until you have been notified of your interview appointment. Additional information about how Immigrant Visa interview appointments are scheduled can be found at: http://nvc.state.gov/interview

I have the same question. Our case was completed on June 2 and we still haven't received an interview date. What's taking them so long? I really hope we get the interviews next month, July. 😢😢😢

Sorry to hear about your checklist. Unfortunately, it " might " take up to another 11 weeks, as the clock " resets " every time you get a check list. There is no way to speed this process up!... I know, it's probably not the efficient set-up... But that is what we have seen happened. All the best with the rest of your journey..

The above message simply meant that " Your Case File "  is at your country's embassy " READY " and waiting for your interview date....  If you already have an interview date, Just show up on that day, nothing else is expected. If you do not have a date yet, you will get one soon.

There is no set timeline for this, and it varies by different embassy. I have seen on this forum that people get Interview dates after CC between.... 2 - 4 weeks or more... It just depends on the country's embassy and the amount of appointment slots they have for a given month.

I hope you both get your Interview dates soon..
