Did the interview this morning, Imad was notified of his approval but told that his case would be in AP until they finish removing his K1 file from their system. Said it would take up to 2 weeks to issue the visa. As long as it is done by July, I don't care. After 4 years of this ridiculous immigration process, it's time for my husband to come home....

Congratulations. Hopefully that doesn't take 2 weeks to remove a K1 file form the stsyem. I understand the wait is long! Happy you are at the end now :)

Well, that was a difficult morning, but it's all worth it because we got my husband approved! I accompanied him to the interview, and I truly think it made a huge difference. I had all the marriage proof assembled and they didn't look at it at all. Very relieved right now, as the interview went pretty rough, but at the end he said all the papers were in order and he would issue the visa!

@swimgrl8259 Congratulations to your husbands approval, hope for you both the best of life together.

@Meekoz https://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/iv-dv-supplemental/CRO - Cairo.pdf Depending on whether you are in Cairo or Alexandria, there are only 4 places you can go in Egypt, 2 in Cairo and 2 in Alexandria.  The PDF I shared with you are the only certified doctors that can do the medical. My husband went to Anglo-American and finished in less than 3 hours. The total cost was 1,700 EGP. You must call and schedule in advance.  Congratulations and wish you tons of luck on your upcoming interview.

CC on 5/15 and still no interview schedule yet. Anyone in here having their interview in RDJ?

Hi,  Yes, we are RDJ also.  CC was 4/14 we were originally given an interview date on 5/08, then there was a scheduling error and it was unsheduled (this happened with multiple consulates that switched to a new system at the beginning of May, hopefully it is all resolved by now).  On 5/15 it was rescheduled again for the same day, 6/12 (next week!!).  You're about a month behind us, so hopefully you will hear in the next week or so.

Great! Thank you for your reply ... I've been anxiously waiting for the interview date. The interview are actually for my parents, our process is IR5. Hopefully I will get the interview date soon. Please let know details of your interview in Rio. I'd like to give as much details as possible to my parents.  I wish you and your spouse luck :)

I see that you are from Massachusetts. I used to live in Marlboro ... Do you know where Marlboro is?

Take care!

Riyadh or Jeddah?  How was his experience?

In Riyadh. He said there were long lines for some reason. Hours are also weird due to Ramadan so he went in at 10 pm.

If it is just you and your sponsor for a family of 2 then yes it is enough... That is above the 125% poverty guidelines.  If you have anyone else willing to add in would never hurt,  but you should be good.

Thank you.
