HK Police would send one to embassy directly so we were not able to include it in our package, but I did include a letter to explain.  I explained this to the rep but she said they have to have a copy so I must send it in...

Am sorry bout this but from experience they are very serious bout ppc,I try to speak to a supervisor twice  that I can take it to the interview but they don't allow and I ended sending it back and my scan date reset that was back in April

i would advice you to just send a new one the sooner the better and accept to wait again cause they very direct on ppc!

sorry to tell you this!

Poor thing.. This is really frustrating.. Did your lawyer give you a copy of everything he sent in? Not to doubt what your lawyer is saying but to verify if he/she wrote your case number on every copy sent in? This is VERY important as the NVC loses documents all the time..

Can you share your experience on the following forum.. Hopefully this will help others from your country.. I'm so sorry this is happening to you.. NVC doesn't sound like they're helping you at alll.. Between you and your lawyer, you'll get to the root of this..

actually my lawyer did he has an actual copy of the packet with case number written on all documents ..... my husband made it his piority to take a day off yesterday to go verify with the lawyer this is crazy...... firstt  they said they needed fingerprints after i corrected them on the nvc site requirements they say they need the pc now they say they dont have it...... the rep i spoke to mandy said she was gonna bring it to the attention of her supervisor last night.... because even if it expires while they have it i can bring it to the interview ..... smh this is ####### ppl wait weeks and pay so much money to the nvc and then they dont even take care of your docs, further more you have to wait weeks again for chcklist stuff why not have direct email for instances like these linked to the ppl that reviewed your case?? smh

Wow.. yeah, def sounds like your case has been mistreated.. Hopefully the supervisor will be able to get it all straightened out.  stay positive. you'll get through this..

And yes, I agree with you about the email thing.. But then I realized after looking at our sheet..

Checklist which required to be resubmitted to the NVC - 60

Checklist which could bring to interview - 22

Total checklists - 82

Cases approved so far which didn't receive a checklist - 73

So to date.. MORE CASES have received a checklist than not... MORE!! You have basically a 50% of getting a checklist. So imagine if they had department dealing with checklists.. that would be have of their reviewers dedicated to just that.. There is a HUGE problem there.. This isn't normal. I would like for all embassies to provide on their website specific instructions with contact info on where to order the required paperwork with samples of each document..

I hope our spreadsheet and the following forum will help others avoid this unfortunate situation.. Please feel free to share your experience on there..

thank you!  will keep trying for a supervisor review!

Yes, you can do this but send the correct police report/receipt ASAP.. this way if you can get a supervisor, they can hopefully get you a CC ASAP. But like i said earlier, also try again getting your case expedited.. You can write in the letter that the only thing missing is the police report, everything else has been approved with your case..  Also explain that your child will miss starting school because of this delay, don't want to have to move him/her at mid semester.. Then attach your police report confirmation receipt with that letter.. Hopefully they can approve your expedited case at that point.. Good luck.

For those of you using WhatsApp. :) Great proof of an ongoing relationship to bring with you to your interviews. But can't figure out how to get call log for free.. Anyone know how?

Saving your WhatsApp chat history

Your WhatsApp chats are automatically backed up and saved daily to your phone's memory. Depending on your settings, you can also periodically backup your WhatsApp chats to Google Drive. If you uninstall WhatsApp from your phone, but don't want to lose any of your messages, be sure to manually back up your chats before uninstalling. To backup your chats, go to WhatsApp > Menu Button > Settings > Chats > Chat backup > Back Up.

To export a copy of the history of an individual chat or group, use the Email chat feature:

  1. Open the chat for the individual or group.
  2. Tap the Menu Button
  3. Tap More.
  4. Tap Email chat.
  5. Choose whether to Attach Media or not.

An email will be composed with your chat history attached as a .txt document.

Just received our p4 letter!! :)

Regarding AOS wet signature.. For us, it says it's ok to bring a copy of the signature for the AOS form. :)  Please look out for this on your p4 letter if in doubt!! :)

*** IMPORTANT *** Interview Reminders

================================================================================

You already submitted certain forms and documents to NVC. At your visa interview, you must give the

consular officer the original version of each civil document you submitted plus one photocopy for each

person applying for a visa. These original versions will be returned to you.

 The only form you do not need to bring to your interview is the Form DS-260 Application for an

Immigrant Visa. Instead, print a copy of the receipt page from ceac.state.gov showing you submitted the

form online.

 If a financial sponsor submitted an I-864 Affidavit of Support form, you must give the consular officer

a signed version. It can be a photocopy, but the signature cannot be typed or electronic.

 If you do not bring to your interview the original version of all civil documents submitted to NVC, the

consular officer will reschedule your interview.

Please use the helpful checklist on the next page to prepare for your interview. You can also visit

"Interview Preparation - Required Documents" on nvc.state.gov/interview or watch our instructional

Just got the p4

Approval Date 23rd June 2017

Interview date 16th August .

One question though they are asking for I-864 copy again.  I think we sent the originals to the NVC but should we get a new form signed. The joint sponsor is in town these days so I can easily get a new form signed.

55 minutes ago, Annie93 said:

i was thinking the same thing but i called and they were like if theres an actual signature and its not electronic then its fine but dont quote me on it...

it took my husband about 3 days

54 minutes ago, Annie93 said:

The doctor who did the medical tests in Armenia told my husband she is sending all the things to the embassy is that true? Did you guys not have to take anything physically there? Also she gave a cd type of thing saying dont open it and take it to America. Do they take that at the airport?

31 minutes ago, Aaza said:

Yeah it seems like photocopies would do. Ill just carry and extra originally signed one in my just in Case pile

he did the medical three days before the interview ? I am asking cause I read somewhere in the start of the process that your visa is valid only 6 months from the medical date. Lots of stuff needs winding up here so id prefer to have as long as possible

Regarding your medical. It's valid for 6 months. Your visa entry into the US will expire the same day your medical does. This is why it's best to get your medical done as closest to your Interview date as possible.. Imagine if you get stuck in Administrative processing or get the awful 221g.. Here

On 4/1/2016 at 2:12 PM, dwheels76 said:

For entering US you have 6 months from medical to enter US. So whenever you get medical the clock starts counting down....  You have 6 months from medical to enter the US or you have to get a new one.

Here is the link to find the entire conversation. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/591070-medical-exam-expiration-date/?do=findComment&comment=8078906

Now regarding the AOS form. @Aaza Copy and paste your instructions here..

For example, mine are below. It clearly says that I need to bring all originals. Also says "If a financial sponsor submitted an I-864 Affidavit of Support form, you must give the consular officer a signed version. It can be a photocopy, but the signature cannot be typed or electronic.
