Hi, so sorry to hear about this.. Did they lose your PC, send in the wrong version, or missing one from a place you lived for over 6 months?

HK Police would send one to embassy directly so we were not able to include it in our package, but I did include a letter to explain.  I explained this to the rep but she said they have to have a copy so I must send it in...

Did you apply for a PCC through the passport office or police station?

oh ok, that's not the first time I've heard about this type of setup... Can you explain this in the following.. hopefully it will help others from HK.. I'm assuming that you can request a version to be sent to you and the embassy or receive a copy at least? If so, please explain in the following forum...

UPDATE!    NVC NOW OPEN!!  CALL NVC. ;)

:jest: :energy:   :goofy:  It's now the time to do so to avoid waiting 30-40 mins.. :jest: :energy:   :goofy:

I called NVC two days ago and same response-- no interview date yet. He said they do it on a first-in first-out, I said if that's the case, I know someone who has the same date of case completion who got her p4 email on June 6. I'm on the 42nd day of waiting since getting "documentarily qualified." He gave a non-answer repeating the first in first out thing. I said so does it depend on visa class then? He paused and said "To a certain extent, yes, but not always." Does anybody from the Philippines have the same experience? Some lurkers perhaps? EB3 people, if you're out there... would you tell me how long you waited till you got this email? It looks like I'm the only one waiting for an interview now, based on the spreadsheet.

That's extremely frustrating.. Have you been in contact with your embassy?  Maybe they can be better at assisting you in this situation..

We did check with the Police again and they will send it to the Embassy directly.  I searched online and saw other people saying I should send in a copy of the payment receipt showing I requested and paid for the certificate already, so I will do that along with a letter of explanation.

Sure, will explain in the forum.

well i am having the simliar issue i am positive sure i sent in my pc and they are saying i need to send one it its rediculous

Poor thing.. This is really frustrating.. Did your lawyer give you a copy of everything he sent in? Not to doubt what your lawyer is saying but to verify if he/she wrote your case number on every copy sent in? This is VERY important as the NVC loses documents all the time..

Can you share your experience on the following forum.. Hopefully this will help others from your country.. I'm so sorry this is happening to you.. NVC doesn't sound like they're helping you at alll.. Between you and your lawyer, you'll get to the root of this..

They're not from India. ;) Every country has a different process..

@JBMG yes I know that they are not from India but it could be that the PCC that got sent directly to the embassy was not the correct one. I know someone who went through that.

Thanks,... All this should be explained in the welcome letters we receive or at least on our embassy websites.. Each one of our embassies should have an area where they give examples of each document needed with an explanation of where/how to get them..  Seriously, HALF of our cases have received a checklist.. HALF.. This is obnoxious.. I need to write this down as one of my goals.. Find out a way to make this change happen..

On nvc.state.gov it clearly says that the certificate will be mailed directly to the embassy. If you I were you I would call again and maybe a different rep can better understand, or send an email to NVC.  This is extremely frustrating.

thanks for the advice, will try again to speak to another rep.

really frustrating, especially i did see and confirmed with a rep for a CC and a few days later I was told it was a mistake!  lucky i checked again and called, otherwise i would still be waiting for the interview schedule happily 😵
