Yes, you can try.  I'm on the line right now.. And yes, depends on the consulate availability.. If you see someone else from your country with an interview date, then that means that country has released their availability to the NVC.

Embassies in most Islamic countries are closed for three day holiday, Eid-al-Fitr.  They will reopen on Thursday.  

We should see plenty of interview dates Thursday and Friday.

Unfortunately if they ask for additional documents it does take them another 11 weeks review. Getting on the phone with a supervisor will really help. I hope it all works out for you  @JessieABC

I have just got off the phone with NVC. Interview date has been scheduled for August 17 in the a.m. Oh what joyous happenings!!!!! I am glad I called.

We are happy and anxious at the same time! The fact that we cannot pick our own interview dates is a bit unnerving since I have to plan for our trip on a short notice, which is very hard with a kid, business and the ever changing plane fares. Ommmmm! 

 

Still, yaassssssss, cannot wait to see hubby sooooon!

Yes, that's why I'm on the phone with NVC.. trying to see if France released its dates yet.. I want to start planning for vacations, people to visit, etc..
