At the embassy just before the interview, they ask your preferred language for interview. You can chose your regional language. People actually choose to give interview in PUNJABI. I have heard one CO in delhi embassy talking very good Punjabi during my tourist visa interview. I was surprised to see him talking fluent Punjabi. And yes they always have a translator with them.

If that's the case, many people have missed it in their reviews. Thanks for bringing it up!

No worries. We can specify in our reviews post interview.

Now specific to @KaurN - Yes at the time of booking appointment with Visa application centre, they ask for the preferred language. We cant change that in the form.

Approved. I was let in at 7:15 AM for 7:30 appointment. I was out by 9:15 AM.

For people whose interview is at Mumbai Consulate, try to select your local language for interview, it takes a lot less time to get to your interview. The only reason for my late interview was that I select English language for my interview.

I will post detailed interview experience at a later time when I reach home.

Good luck everyone who are t different stages of application. You will all hear good news real soon.

I really deslike calling to the NVC. I don't know if it's just me, but everytime I call them, I wait at least 40 min and once I get to talk to a rep, most of the times I feel like they don't even care about anything, and them they hang up in less than a minute. I can't wait to have my interview scheduled and not have to call them anymore.

Was so excited to see people get their interview dates that I had to try calling last night  (5am my time 11pm at NVC). Finally 45 mins later, i got connected after already being disconnected once.. Never again, much prefer calling at about 7am.. Def much faster to connect.. But I found that sometimes we get really nice people and sometimes cranky/rude/apathetic types....  We're near the finishing line.. Just a bit more to go..

My husband called NVC to ask if we have interview date earlier.

Nvc said Manila Embassy is so busy they have lots of back log.

Hopefully we can have interview date next week. So my husband can decide if he can change his flight for coming here.

This may be true but if trends continue, based on our spreadsheet, you should  get your interview date no later than July 15th.

----

THANK YOU everyone for your updates! Keep them coming, here's hoping that we all get our August interview dates ASAP!! But don't get discouraged if you don't receive yours by the end of week.. If trends continue, they should be scheduling until about mid July.  Keep calling the NVC. ;)

THANK YOU everyone for your updates! Keep them coming, here's hoping that we all get our August interview dates ASAP!! But don't get discouraged if you don't receive yours by the end of week.. If trends continue, they should be scheduling until about mid July.  Keep calling the NVC. ;)

I'm hoping...

I also looking on the spread sheet. Big help for analyzing!

Thank u  😊

YAY!! congrats!! Thank you for already updating the spreadsheet. :)  Very happy for you all!!!! YAY YAY YAY!!!! Almost there. Now the stress begins/continues.. Getting ready for the interview and getting your visas approved!!!! :)  Make sure you check out your consulate/embassy reviews.. To make sure you don't fall into any unfortunate situations as others have.. You don't want to get a 221g!! Continue to be proactive and do continue your research. :)

Great!!! Congrats! Please update the spreadsheet. :)  Here are instructions on how to edit/save the questionnaire

lol!!!!! couldn't help but laugh when I read this. So true.. Just when you get over all the excitement, there another thing to stress about..

Ditto.. Called but didn't have our date yet. Hang in there. ;) It will happen soon enough for us.

This may be true but if trends continue, based on our spreadsheet, you should  get your interview date no later than July 15th.

Does anyone know when the NVC are likely to stop scheduling for August interviews?

First half of the month they schedule mostly. Then there's just a lucky few for the 2nd half of the month who get assigned one of the unused slots if someone else delays their interview.
