Does anyone know if the vaccinations can be done at the same time as the medical examination or if they need to be done at a separate location?   For the embassy instruction for Ho Chi Minh City, there are separate addresses for medical and vaccinations.

I got e-mail from Nvc this morning. I don't understand, does cr1 visa category needs to wait for their priority date to be current?

Scan date: April,05

cc: June,01

email says:

NVC schedules appointments one month in advance.  The U.S. Embassy tells us what dates they are holding interviews, and NVC fills these appointments as they become documentarily qualified.  Most appointments are set within three months of NVC’s receipt of all requested documentation.  However, before applicants in a numerically limited (preference) visa category can receive an appointment, their priority date must also be current.  This can delay receipt of an appointment.  You can track your priority date using the Visa Bulletin on travel.state.gov.

Basically this is the form letter that you get after your case is closed and you are put into line for an embassy interview.  Nothing to worry about and congrats on case closed.  There are some visa categories that are limited in number each year and if they fill up then they are finished for the year and you must wait until it is open again... IR1/CR1s do not have limits because one of the spouses is a legal US citizen.  So I would say you are good to go and just wait for that email for your interview date... Good luck.

Your case file is on steroids :) Best of luck with the interview!

Yes, it went so fast it caused us problems! Good problems though. It was strange because every other part of this process was slow and delayed. I think we got lucky with our interview slot.

I don't have the option of changing as Jeddah just has one center they're charging Almost 1500 SAR per adult ... hey i needed to ask something, has your husband registered the document delivery address yet from us travel docs website or should it be done after the interview from the embassy itself?

Thanks!

He inquired the embassy and they said registration will be done on the day of interview. No need to register beforehand.

@abfar This is normal, because they want the updated year-2016.  All you need is it have a new AOS filled with the current tax year of 2016 and the 2016 IRS transcripts.

@beppenyc Congratulations. Good luck on your coming interview. :)

Because your 2016 taxes should be filed already, I suggest you update the I-864 (please ensure it is signed), and take the W2s as well.

Sorry it's been that long you saw your family. We all know that is hard not seeing loved ones for so long....I see your CC is June 6th. Hopefully you get your Interview date soon. You are almost there... :)

You are so welcome. We are happy for you both. I know it feels good to be done with this long process. Congratulations to you both and wishing you all the best in your future endevours in USA.

Thanks for leaving that review. It would benefit everyone attending the same embassy as you.

A big congratulations to you. You are welcome and we are glad for you.

Congratulations!!! That was a speedy delivery of SSN " 7 days " from POE date ..... Welcome to America and good luck with your job hunt. :)

Sorry the Office mixed up your name. It should't take that long to process your SSN upon arrival. Yes, In all states, You need a valid SSN to verify who you are, without it, nothing much can really be done! It's a vital piece of ID/Number in the USA. I will say, hang in there, get your SSN, then get a DL instead of getting a State ID, as that would be a waste of money as you will still need DL later if you want to drive. You only need " A state ID or a DL " as a proof of ID. Hang in there, i'm sure this would be resolved for you soon. The long wait is over, and you now in America. Welcome home and enjoy your stay :)

Have you filled your 2016 taxes yet? They know this is June, and by law every-one in America should have filled their 2016 taxes by now. They want to see that. Request for a transcript from IRS and take that with you, and that should take care of that request. All the best .

Yaaah!!! Happy for you. I know you have been waiting for a very long time... :). Hang in there, this is almost over. " Ready Status " is good .

Thanks guys. I appreciate the replies.

The weird thing is, the financial and tax documents we sent were 2016 already.

Only reason we can think of that might have caused an issue was the w2 we sent wasn't super crisp in print.

also, is it normal/routine to send just a single W2 form with AoS? the checklist says "take each w2 form for 2016". doesn't each employer issue a single w2 for the years?

and lastly seeing the checklist letter, at the very bottom the only point is

>> You must submit the following financial evidence: w2 for 2016

would I be correct to assume I just take that single w2 in good print quality, that might be been blurry when we sent to nvc initially? and no changes to the i864 are needed? I.e. not worry about bringing any additional documents for checklist besides that?

thank you

You should take a copy of the AOS to the interview; ensure all pages are included and it is signed.  Since the AOS you submitted included 2016, no need to update it.  And yes, take the 2016 W2s and federal tax transcripts of the last 3 years (2016, 2015 and 2014).

I-130 (for parents of US Citizens):

8/19/2022: NOA (IOE0917XXXXXX); Texas Service Center

7/22/2023: Both (parents) petitions approved

7/27/2023: Both cases sent to NVC

8/8/2023: Received NVC welcome email for both parents

People who work multiple jobs receive W2 from each employer. They use generic language to include all. If you only work with one employer you only need that W2.
