for our i-864 package we have everything in our check list but tax transcripts, is the 1040's and w2 forms for the last 3 years work enough or is the tax transcript needed regardless if you have your w2's and 1040's? along with pay stubs, letter from work etc? My mom, my co-sponsor, got online to try to get hers last night, but something about they wouldent accept her mobile number and has to mail her something befor she can get access, so is 1040 and w2 and pay stubs, work letter enough or do i really need the tax transcript

I sent my last tax returns and supporting documents (letters from SS and Military Retirement).  No problems encountered.

you need either tax transcripts OR copies of 1040 and  w-2 forms,NOT both

Tax transcripts are easy for most as they might not have their tax forms or w-2   and it is easier to send transcript in

If you have your 1040 and w- forms then you should be ok

A complete copy of a tax return including everything you would have filed if filed by mail, OR a tax return transcript are acceptable.  For many folks, that's more than a 1040 and W2 form(s).
