Sometimes I want to call them and say "PLEASE, LET ME HELP YOU! I WILL DO ANYTHING! I WILL LICK ENVELOPES. I WILL COVER LUNCH BREAKS. I WILL BRING COFFEE AND DONUTS. I WILL BAKE COOKIES AND MUFFINS. I WILL BRING RED BULL AND ALL THOSE OTHER ENERGY DRINKS SO YOU GUYS CAN PULL AN ALL-NIGHTER. ANYTHING THAT WILL HELP!" I wonder if they would respond if I sent my cover letter and resume.

(F) I pray that all couples have the strength to endure this difficult time. If your love can endure this it will endure anything. (F)

NO joke! I think if they let it, the USCIS would have more muffins than they could eat!!!!

Its been since October since I saw my wife, and since October since she saw me or her baby son. :( It is certainly hard, and I know that it is natural for her to have some worries that I am not even applying for the visa, just eeding her a line (it happens for real often enough!) So it must be doubly tough for her. We talk all the time over Yahoo, and that really helps.

It is really messed up that in all lilehood, her visa would be approved already if we were not married!!! I can think of stronger words, too :(

And then, when the visa gets approved, it heads to a 2-3 month wait before the interview. The Faux interview, ebcause by all reports, they are going to look at the file, look at the pictures, and approve hr visa without even asking any questions. They are bakcklogged, I've heard, because they are quota'd. They can only do so many interviews in a single day. Even if they take 2 minutes. :(

Your absence runs through me like a needle

I don't think you have to feel bad about not having filed a K1, from the looks of it the K1's are now behind the K3's. I'm sick of all this too, I'm waiting in my wife's country with her, but I am sooo homesick. Everytime we turn on the TV and watch HBO it makes me more homesick. But I don't regret waiting with her, I'm thankful we can at least be together, hopefully we'll have our interview soon.

I wish we could afford waiting together! The average salary in Poland is like $300-400/month, and our mortgage here in the states is over $2000!!

I imagine seeing my paperwork sitting at the bottom of an in basket on someones desk as more and more papers are being piled on top, it feels like I'm being smothered. It should not be like this. I get so discouraged with our government. I work hard, I pay my taxes and obey the laws but my husband who I love so dearly can't live here with me while we process all this paperwork...not fair!

Did anyone see the tv show Boston Legal this week? It touched upon this unfair immigration situation. I'm glad it's finally getting some attention.

I'm traveling to England again next Thur. to visit my husband for a week, it's been 3 months since seeing him. I think that's about the longest we can go without being together. I feel so bad for all of you that have been waiting so much longer. My heart goes out to you all.

We use Skype with a web camera to see and talk with each other on a daily basis. That's been a complete life saver for us. On the weekends we keep it on for hours as I clean the house and make dinner and since he's 5 hours ahead of me, I get to watch him fall asleep. I recommend it to everyone who has a good internet connection.

Good luck to all of you!

I love Boston Legal. lol.

Yes immigration is getting attention but I'm afraid it's only the illegal immigrants who are getting all the spotlight. Which sucks since we're over here doing things legally yet our problems/backlogs are going to be on the back burner. :(

my husband does not have an internet connection in his flat so we rely on the cafe's which are not private at all. We both get sick of it though 'cause I can only get on after 7pm and by then it's 2am his time so he's tired and I'm tired. We used to chat everynight but now it's about three times a week online. We text back and forth and call everyday but my God what a way to be married.

We like to use ventrilo. It's often used for online gamers to gather and communicate as they play but servers are cheap and you can run your own, just the two of you. It's just audio, no video interface but it's a constant connection.

We're all in a lot of pain waiting. Sooo many 'if onlys'...

are group hugs inappropriate decorum? I could use one... either way, tight hugs from me to all who are without them. ^_^

I'm a K1 who hasn't even filed yet...not till October because we're waiting for him to finish graduate school first :(

But I'm with everyone here. I know how much it hurts me to be without P and we aren't even married yet. I saw my friend go through this with his wife, but their lawyer screwed up. They filed for the K1 and got approved, but their lawyer told them they could get married in France, which they did, however his wife was not allowed back in the US. It took 14 months, many thousands of dollars and a lot of pain before they got her here. I keep hearing horror stories like that running through my head.

Still, all the pain of being apart would not make me want to go back and do things differently. How can I? He has my heart (awww).

Anyway, I can't get Skype or ventrilo to work on my mac, but we use google talk. If you have gmail, it's a voice chat system built right into it. I don't know if you can hook a web cam up or not. It's been a lifesaver too.

I'm tired of waiting myself. It would be a lot better if we could be together while we wait.

I will never regret marring him but sometimes I wonder if we should have done the K-1 and then got married here in the US. We married in his home town and at the time it was the best thing ever. I now wonder if we were a little more patient and married in the US we would be together sooner. I think getting married abroad was a wonderful experience and when he's here all will be fine and I would not want to change a thing.

Hi jundp, Skype should work on Mac.

Or you could use ichat (if your boyfriend has a pc, he can use AIM messenger on the other end. ichat and AIM are compatible with each other.

Sigh. Not even two months that I've been without him and I'm going insane ... :crying:
