You will still be legal to work.

However, if you have a driver's license it will probably expire the same time your 1 year extension expires.

You will need to schedule an InfoPass appointment to get an I-551 stamp so you can extend your driver's license.

(Whatever your plans were regarding your N-400 application, you shouldn't need to change them)

Thank you for this.

I thought we would be out of status.

I checked my Driver's license and for some reasons, it is still valid for another year from the expiration of my 1 year extension.

If I would still be legal to work, I will not worry then. :) Thank you!

I didn't know you could check on here but when I just did it says they've received my case three times, is everyone else's like this? Last time they say it was received was Feb 2018 which is a bit worrying considering it was sent in June of last year!screenshot.thumb.JPG.d187fcc0e38ddecb7de8fb05d09d1888.JPG

I wouldn't worry too much though. You are a Vermont filer and your approval is coming any day now. :D

I was checking on https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/. Yeah all seems a right mess. Let's pray we all get approved soon and that they haven't just received our case as it states online lol :D . I'm sure CSC will catch up on their workload soon, I'll pray for the CSC filers

There isn't one that is just Q&A per se, so start one.  There is one about complications experienced  during the N-400?I-751 process but it has got off topic and become its own gig, imo.

You can find lots of good advice about the N-400 here http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/114-us-citizenship-general-discussion/

and I suspect you will find the info you are looking for here.  It is very common for the N-400 to be filed whilst the I-751 is pending.  So don't let that scare you.

It's been a longtime since I've posted here but I haven't had my biometrics taken and I received the same mail about re-using old biometrics.

My N-400 window opens on June 10th. I haven't had the chance to read the forums but thank you guys for the nudge! I better start filling out the online form.

Goodluck to all of us!
