Seems like a lot of July 2017 filers got something in  mail today as well... Some - the same letter as mine, and some - finally received their biometric appointment, the first one, after 9-10 months of wait...with a wrong zip code. So now they have to fix it somehow because there is no way you can get  your bio done in Illinois if you live in Florida for example....

Went through Augest 2017 thread - the same story.   What's going with CSC.. ???

Like my friends says “cheese and rice” 🤦🏻‍♀️

No but seriously....That is nuts. Looks like Vermont is 12 months for the approval..Just like the USCIS site says...It has to be the same for California...having a correct approval time frame I mean, which is 17 months I believe. Too long, but hey, better than 2-3 years  I heard some people talk about

With "misunderstandings" they have recently done I feel like a long wait can be our less problem - recent lunch of green cards with wrong residency dates on them, now wrong Field Office for biometric appointment...

Just wanted to throw my two cents in as well: just received a letter saying they are using our old biometrics. So if this is the beginning of the case and it follows typical processing times it seems like we are still 6-8 months away? In any matter, it's finally a little relieving to see some progress.

Just got the biometric letter today scheduling an appointment. Two questions:

1) We are considering traveling out of the country this summer for vacation. Will they be able to stamp the passport showing an extension when we go to the biometric appointment? (the extension letter will expire before we arrive back in the states and although the extension continues as a matter of law, the physical stamp is more reassuring)

2)  Although I included our tax returns showing married filing jointly, I forgot to include the tax transcripts. From what I understand, it is better to send the transcripts. I ordered them and received copies from the IRS. Can I mail these documents now for USCIS to add to our file?

Thanks! Contrats to those who received their biometrics too!

It appears as if you have to sign up for that service with USPS first and we haven't done that. So we didn't see anything prior to it arriving.

She sounded pretty sure in her response. I think I'm just going to start preparing so I'm ready if it comes through. Feel bad for the CSC filers :(

I am in the same boat. I think we can expect another letter, this should not affect our right to work.

Best you be making an info pass appt and get a I-551 stamp put into your passport.  This extends your GC one more year. Bring the extension letter, expired GC, passpirt and info pass appt confirmation to your appt.

Processing times for ROC are extremely long...12-18 months right now.
