oh trust me i do not spend allot of time thinking about it

i just though sharing with the forum so they can get more educated as well

thanks for the response

another year two or three what does it matter ?

sun is shining every day :)

I still have hopes that things will get moving quicker.  It always does when things get back-logged at USCIS.  They start shifting things about to reduce processing times.  We just need to have some faith.

But your file is not at an actual local office.  It is still at VSC.

However, when they receive your N400 . . . they will suspend evaluation of your I751 and put you at the back of the line for joint I751 N400 evaluation.

And yes, sometimes the N400 moves a little faster than the concurrent I751, so when you show up for N400 they send you back home to wait until I751 is finished.  It has been reported here.

We are often misled when told that we can apply for the N400 at X point in time.

Yes, that is true . . . but we are not aware that this doesn't mean anything will speed up, and more likely will slow down your case.

@Leo7777 my ultimate goal is to get the Citizenship and i am eligible to submit the N400 this month which i am going to do to. It seems like they are already moving my I751 from one location to another which implicates that someone is about to look at my file soon. Based on this, I don't think N400 could move fast enough for them to send me back home and wait until I751 is finished.

Hi All

I have been trying to check my status of my case online however I am so confused. On my biometrics notice I have two application numbers which I'm guessing are the receipt numbers I need to login online. One number is under I751 the other number is under CR189. Which number am I meant to use to check my status online? The I751 says they received my case locally on the 9th April 2018 the other says June 2017. I am trying to change my address so need to figure this out. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Ignore my last two rants lol. I found my notice of action and receipt number. My case is coming up online saying it is at the local office.... does this mean I am going to get a RFE? I'm currently in the middle of a stressful move could have really done without more stress of a interview and more paperwork... so annoyed right now

We won't see any updates for CSC filers until the end of the year, so buckle up, it'll be a long ride until then.

Here is an approval, California filer, July 2017. So,  things happen, sometimes ;)

I do believe there's some edge cases where people get approved way ahead of time, but if your read @Tcarrol posts, you'll see they used a senator before to ask about their statuses (of other forms), so my guess is that USCIS marked their cases/A-number as priority? It's just a wild guess but I don't think it's a coincidence.

We are all just guessing at this point. I've had a congresman person involved during my AOS, so i have an idea how it works.  Even if it was really helpful for my I-485, at the same time a senator's/congress person's request can be pretty much ignored as well if a case is within a normal processing time... Whatever is "normal" , even if it's up to 46 months.

but... Congratulations to @Tcarrol!! :)

This entire process is insane and not for the weak hearted nor impatient.

Don't you all remember the waiting  frustrations when filing your I-129 or I-130?  Watching the hours, days, weeks, months and year pass while waiting for your NOA1, then NOA2, then waiting for your file to transfers to NVC and then sitting and waiting for that dreaded interview at the consulate,,, and finally the worry if you'd pass or fail?

I do!  I'd much rather be in this waiting period....living with my spouse and having a life.

While the wait is long, make the best of it.  You are here!  No more LD!

:)

You're a month away from the 12 month period...things need to pick up speed sometime soon.
