A question: my case status either says "Validation Error(s) You must correct the following error(s) before proceeding: My Case Status does not recognize the receipt number entered. Please check your receipt number and try again. If you need further assistance, please call the National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283"

or it says "Case Was Receive On June 20, 2017, we received your Form CRI-89, Petition to Remove Conditions of Permanent Resident Status Received, Receipt Number x, and sent you the receipt notice that describes how we will process your case..."

i did the biometric back in july and changed address (what lead to my process being moved from vermont to california) in october.

Is that the normal case?

Don't freak out they are adjudicating the ROC requests of folks who filed in August/September 2016!! That's right 15-16 Months after they filed. So a year is peanuts as far as how long you're actually going to wait before they respond to your application.  Your status as a Permanent resident continues on and is extended for as long as your ROC application is pending so you should not have any problems with respect to your job. If you need to travel abroad or in any way prove your permanent resident status you can get an infopass appointment online to your local USCIS office and request a passport stamp which is basically like your permanent resident card. And normally this constitutes proof of your status for 6 months to a year depending on the validity of the stamp the immigration officer gives you. But you can only do this (per what other people have posted) one or two months before your extension letter expires.

Cheers

You are inputting the wrong number. You have two case numbers associated to your ROC application one that identifies your extension letter you can see it at the top as "receipt number" and another one for you actual ROC application that one you can find in the notice of action for your biometrics appointment is side by the side to the one your extension letter has. When you input that one it will give the "case was received" status everyone has.

Just wanted to share that I have actually traveled outside of the US with the extension letter, at least 25 times. I typically go through global entry and get the same ticket (normal ticket), depending on the airport an agent will ask for it and then I will show my passport, expired Conditional GC + extension letter and only 1 time I have been sent to the secondary step where it took me less than 5 minutes to get it resolved. Should not be a problem to go out of the country, or use global entry with it (just ask the agents at GE to update your profile)

You've been luckier than I.  What ports of entry are you using?

Whether flying or driving I have encountered many who are either unfamiliar with the extension letter but just let it ride,  ask me questions,  or get into a lengthy conversation about it.  Few have understood and have offered me advice.  I have never been sent to secondary (touch wood).

Does anyone know when should we go in for the extension stamp on the passport? Is it 90 days before the expiration of our extension letter? Also- When should we start looking for infopass appointments as I am hearing its really hard to get one in time.

As for the stamp, depends on the local office.  I was denied a stamp and the officer told me to make an info pass 'after' my extension letter expired.  Others have went with plenty of time to spare and got the stamp.  Try to get in touch with someone on VJ that has the same local office as you and ask them.

As for info pass appts.  I have read if your local office does not have any appts available to check at midnight OR very early in the morning.  Failing that, stay on the site and refresh often.  My local office isn't busy so I was able to get an appt the first try.

There was a post earlier this month about adding on an autofresh feature to your browser but since I didn't need it, I didn't follow the post. The poster was very generous and gave step by step procedures.  I am sure it will be easy to locate.  Check the July 2017 1-751 filers too if its not in June.  I follow both.

Has any officer asked you why you travel outside of the US too much? Has that caused any problems? I was planning on taking many (pleasure) trips this year, but I wonder if I will encounter with any problems.

I fly mostly through Washington Dulles and/or through Houston. Other points of entry have been Baltimore, Dallas, Phoenix and Miami.

Bumping this thread since we've gotten an update indicating our case was "received at my local office" on February 26, 2018.  Not sure what to take of this, but we're definitely excited to know we're not forgotten and they are actually working on June 2017 filers at CSC :D

Well... people have already started discussing these "transferrings"  in other threads... Seems like, due to being backlogged, CSC has started sending I-751 cases out to the local USCIS offices to help to process the cases.

Lets hope it's a good sign :) :)   And hope you will hear something good soon!!!!
