Yes, I am a June 2017 filer as well and even though I did have my Biometrics in August and received my extension letter in Sept, I haven't heard anything since. I have called and researched as well and got the same as Cincyman the same answers so to avoid any stress and constant checking the mail or internet, I will  patiently await til July 1 before I start inquiring . There are soo many waiting anxiously for the same thing. Patience is a virtue..lol

I understand the processing times have increased and accept that. I also am aware that most of the time, an update won't be given until the green card is being produced and sent out. However, I'm alarmed that we haven't even received our biometrics despite 2 service requests resulting in the same cookie-cutter response and filers after us receiving their appointment letters. I'm curious if this is something we need to pursue more aggressively or if it has happened to other people in the past and will resolve itself in time.

Like I mentioned in previous posts, I also tried everything to get my biometrics appointment without success. I called many times, received many emails but nothing helped. I'm just gonna let the process flow and see what happens later.

I remember hearing that from you. I was wondering if there was general knowledge of previous filers that had the same experience of long waits for biometrics.

There was a recent thread about this but his response after service requests were that his biometrics were recent enough and they would be used again. Ours comes back saying we were just "placed in queue". Maybe it's not a big deal and I'm making it more than what it should be.

That's what I've read in other topics too, that our biometrics could be too recent for them to require new ones.

I'll just wait until USCIS contacts me again, and if they ask me why I don't have biometrics done, I'll tell them I tried everything I could to get them but they never sent anything.

This is my fear. I'd rather be proactive than delay a process that is already projected to take longer than a year.

I don't expect them to contact me right now, but as soon as I see people from this thread being contacted, I will start calling them again.

It's exhausting to be calling them all the time, sending emails and what not, and given the current mess with all the immigration issues (DACA, lack of funding, the wall, etc) I don't see things moving any time soon.

I called on 1/29 and had the office send in another service request. I finally received my notice for my biometrics a few days later , FINALLY after 6 months of waiting just for my biometrics.

Congrats! The last time we called we were told to call back the middle of January. Don't I know why she suggested that date but maybe it's worth another shot.

Glad your case is starting to move! Even if it's baby steps.

Hi all

Just thought I'd let people who are travelling outside the USA know how it was for me using the extension letter. It wasn't as easy as normal checking in, I couldn't check in for American Airlines using their machines I had to go to customer service to make sure they checked me in with the letter and expired green card. Also when I arrived back into the USA after my trip I did get a grilling at customs and they asked me if my letter was a copy. Was a little scary but eventually I got through.

Also, wanted to ask does anyone know what we need to send for the N400 application. I have read on a few other chats that people still send a lot of evidence to prove bona fide marriage surely we don't need to send a 3 inch thick book again like we did for the I-751?

Thanks all

Hi, I had a different experience with traveling outside of the US.  I traveled to the UK at Christmas on my extension letter.  I did have to check in at AA/BA desk because I had my infant with me, so doing it at the kiosk wasn't an option for me anyway. They didn't ask to see my GC or letter.  When I returned to the US, the only thing that was the issue was the automatic machines, I couldn't use that as the GC is expired.  I handed everything to the border agent, went on to explain that I am waiting for my 10 yr GC he just said "ok", stamped my passport, handed everything back and we went on our way...no questions at all.  I guess it just depends on who you get.  I am again traveling outside of the US at the end of April, so I hope it's as smooth again.

I have traveled twice with my extension letter, both times I had problems with the automatic machines, but not with the officers, they were really quick and understood everything, no questions asked.

Neither I had problems when boarding my plane at the origin airports before getting to the US.
