Thank you very much. We have a straight forward case. Our lawyer (AKA resender) is asking for $780. She charged a lot for the I-485, so we will be filling out the form ourselves. I looked up the N-400 and the question is much clear. So you would recommend not listing her correct. Just wanted to make sure we are answering all questions truthfully.

Hi guys, long time no see! June filer here. So this might just be me being paranoid about this, but I had my biometrics appointment in July, biometrics were processed normally. But when I check the case status on the USCIS site it says "Case was received (With June  date)  We will sent you a receipt notice that explains how we will process your case"  Shouldn't it have changed to a different status since the biometrics were processed? I know I should know this drill by now since is similar to I-485 I-130 but I have forgotten. Thoughts?

Cheers!

Glad you won't have a lawyer involved in this process.... We had a lawyer during K1 process and  she did a great job, really, but I wish we learnt about VJ a little bit earlier -  it's always good to not spend any money on something you could've obviously done by yourself   :)

And since we found out about VJ,  two  I-485s (for my son and me, we filed separately), numerous I-765& I-131, I-751 we've done by ourselves.

And yes, I would recommend not listing the USC girl in Part.5 of your I-751. Only dependents, who are seeking the immigration benefits along with a principal applicant need to  be listed there. We didn't list my step daughter  (she is a USC) as well, although she is mentioned on our tax returns and some other evidence for my ROC. Only my son, who is applying for 10-years green card along with me :)

Good luck!!!!

Hi :)

From what I've learnt, going through other ROC threads, it seems like we shouldn't expect any updates on USCIS website ...until "card is in production" or so... A lot of people don't see any updates if RFE was sent or Interview Notice... So, I wouldn't worry about not seeing anything about your fingerprints - looks like nobody got this info updated...

Hi I was just curious, I used to be more knowledgeable of Visa Journey resources 3 years ago. But has anyone collected statistics as to the likelihood of being summoned for an interview or receiving an RFE on a I-751 request among Visa journey filers?

I understand interviews on I-751 requests are a rarity and constitute around 10% of the cases. I have also heard a percentage of those are just random cases that were selected for an interview by chance, is there truth to this? RFE's I suppose depend on how strong your initial evidence was,  or also on red flags raised throughout your time as a CPR or during the I-485 adjudication.

The interviews are very rare, just for cases like you said, with many red flags or picked at random. As for the RFEs, those are more common than you think, even people with evidence folders as thick as a few inches have received RFEs, maybe they received them by mistake or they just miss vital evidence that proves a bona fide marriage.

As for me, I sent only 3 forms of evidence: Photos, joint auto insurance and most recent joint filed tax return.

Hi Guys:

We are collecting supporting evidence. We have two years of tax transcripts and tax account transcripts. We have some of our W-2'S but can't find the rest. Do I need to add W-2 if I already have the transcripts? OR Should I send the partial W-2's in addition to the transcripts?

Usually W2s, &1099s  are needed as a proof of your income  if you are going to submit Tax Returns (1040s and Schedules). But since you have Tax Transcripts, do not worry about W2s & 1099s -  the income has already been proven with IRS.

So, submit just Tax Transcripts.

Thank you for all of your help these past days.

Another Question: I just noticed that our old lease has only my signature on it. My wife moved in after we married. I asked the landlord to add her to lease and they hand wrote her name on the first page next to mine and sent an email informing me that they will hand write her name on the first page.  But her signature is not on  the document.

Should I have her sign it and indicate the day she moved in or just leave everything as it is and attach the email from the landlord. If she signs the lease and date it, then we will have two different dates on the lease 2014 and 2015 which might lead to some confusion to someone looking at the document because the landlord took forever to get back to us, so the date in the subject line of the email reads 2016.

I was thinking if they want to know why she didn’t sign the lease? Maybe I’m just overthinking it. I am thinking of letting the document stay the way it is and just attach the email correspondence. There are other documents from the old residence that have our names on it and the new lease doesn’t have any issues with it.

You are very welcome!

I would leave everything as it is and attach the email from the landlord. Also, you could write an  "Explanation" letter (short :) )  - exactly as you've described above why the signature is not on the document.

Thanks!. I was just thinking about the amount of time and detail that goes into collection of all the docs. Definitely not an easy task.

agree :) It also took me  "a while" to get everything collected, organized and finally sent... Then a nerve-wrecking wait until the package was received by USCIS (not lost).. Will be so glad when my immigration journey is over!! :)

Good luck to you!!
