Well, at least now you know ACS Notice has not been lost and you are not missing your appointment!!

I think it wasn't scheduled, yet, because of your local USCIS Field Office - probably they are backlogged..

That's a nice way of looking at it. In my head the fact they they hasn't scheduled it yet sounds nicer than the thought of me missing one that has been scheduled.

I know how it feels! Try again until you speak to an accommodating rep! I called 3x today and didn't stop until I speak to an Immigration Officer.

Good job on that. Really hope you get your appointment letter soon.

I'll call maybe in a week or two, this back and forth with them really drains me (plus all the personal problems one could have).

I hope that's the case, that my local field office is busy and they have not scheduled me for an appointment.

It is very frustrating. On the bright side though completing biometrics sooner or later probably won't change thier general processing time. It doesn't take a year to do a background check, however it does take a year(or however long) for the immigration officer to look at cases with completed check. Trying to stay positive like that.

Yeah, they told me this (the whole process) is taking from 6 to 12 months. I hope I can hear from them soon.

Thanks for the support :)

Hang in there!! In the grand scheme of things, the biometrics is nothing compared to what we deal in everyday life. As my husband would put it, "Darling, you don't NEED it now. You just WANT it now" which is true!

Wising you well and hope you get well rested this weekend! :) Try calling back only when it's convenient for you!

I don't think "late" biometric will delay I-751 processing time. According USCIS info and June 2016 thread - USCIS is still working on June 2016. So looks like our case won't be "touched", for a while.. And that " a while" can be who knows how many months..

But, yes, I wouldn't wait till August either.. Call them next time in a week or so . As we learnt from our experiences, calling them - every  time you call can give you completely different result. All depends on a person you are speaking with..And next time, FINGERS CROSSED, you'll have someone like PauPau  have talked today.. .

It's dates June 30 as well , so yes, where the heck have they been all this time?..

Anyway, you have it !! :)

Good luck on Wednesday!

Shouldn't take any longer than 15 minutes. That is if you start on time. Sometimes there are some difficulties with taking fingerprints for example, then it might take longer.

Thanks all

They are very quick. Not sure if this is standard practice, but at my office they schedule a bunch of people for the same time and then they are processed through as a line. When I got there they were finishing up 10 o'clock appointments and started on the 11 o'clock appointments early. I was in and out in like 5 minutes.

May 31: Package mailed

June 8: NOA1 received, dated June 2

Hi, guys :)

Just got back from our biometric appointment.

It was scheduled for 8.00 a.m., we were here at 7.30 - not intentionally , just the road..

They did let us in, and about 7.45 gave us, all people who were already in, some kind of application from to fill out, along with a "serial" number. I was #1, my son was #2 :) At 8.00 a.m. exactly they took me in. 10 minutes - done. Next :)

So, it took 1 hour 40 minutes each way ..to be done  for, actually, 30 minutes :)

There were a couple, they were trying to make an early walk in. They were told to wait and see how everything goes and iof there is an available spot. I don't think they will be denied.. It was St.Louis, MO. People there were very friendly and helpful.

P.S. Of course, when we got home, I found son's biometric appointment notice in the mail box... :oops:So if his ASC Notice was not faxed to me few days ago, he would've definitely missed his  appointment today.

For now, I guess, we are done ;)  -  seems like it will be a while before we hear anything back.

Anyway, good luck to every one!!!
