Hello, all! I've been reading through the forums and figured I would jump in. My NOA1 was dated June 8th and I still have not received a biometrics notice. I called USCIS today at +1 800-375-5283 pressed 1, then 2, then 2, then 2 <--- This got me talking to an actual person (don't bother looking your case up with the WAC number, it will say it's not valid and you'll keep going in circles). The representative opened a service request and told me I should be receiving the biometrics notice within 15 days, if not, I will need to call back and provide my service request number so they can look into it further. I hope this helps! Good luck to you all!

Well.. I wish you have reached a Tier 2 IO - that person could've looked up at your case, using your A-#, and you would've known if your biometric appointment has been already scheduled.. Just to make sure you are not missing this..

Her is the "steps" how I've reached a Ttier 2 (I've done it 3 times and it always worked ;) )

1. Call this amazing line 1 800-375-5283

2. Yes, press 1 for English.

3. DO NOT press 2. You are right, it won't recognize your NOA1 #, so listen to the end. There will be an option, the last one before "repeat "   - for any other questions press star key. This IS your option.

3. After "long robot speech"  press 4 "to reach services for LPR"

4. then 1 - again  "to reach services for LPR"

5. press 3, then 2..

yes' it's a long way :) and again  - first person you'll talk will be a Tier 1. And they will tell you the standard thing about 30 days and your eligibility to put a service request.  Great!  Listen and after that ask if they could look and tell if your biometric was scheduled.. because you don't really want to miss it.. At this point, usually, they offer you to be transferred to a Tier 2 IO ,or at least you can ask for tha at this point - only a Tier 2 IO has an access to your case.

P.S. My son's biometric appointment has never arrived, and when I got a chance to speak with a Tier 2 Immigration Officer (steps above ;) ),  he confirmed that an appointment was scheduled.. He was so helpful and kind , that he faxed the copy of  ACS Notice to me, because there was no way the copy of the Notice would've found us BEFORE actual appointment .. I understand it's not happening every day, but it's worth to try..

Good luck!!!

Yes, I got my son's ACS appointment, faxed to me..

just to clarify - I think the only reason a Tier 2 did let this happen was that he saw son's biometric has been scheduled, at the same day as mine. And it's on coming Monday, July 17 - I called  on Tuesday.

So, he recognized, that there was no way the Appointment letter would've found us before Monday if we placed a request to send a duplicate or whatever... So, he was really helpful and kind and I'm so grateful for what that person has done!!..I wish I remembered his name...

We also "learnt, that son's NOA1 has never made it to our address. So. it was obviously, that mails , BOTH, son's NOA1 & ACS Noice, were sent but for some reason we received nothing..

That's why I advice to call and make sure your appointment has been scheduled or not.. if you don't have anything by the time you think you should've..

Also, what happened to me, when the Notice was faxed... still can not believe it happened :) - it made me believe that there are really knowledgeable and helpful people there, at Customer Service.. You probably need a little luck to have a chance to speak with one, but - yes, they do exist :)

I just called them and they told me I should wait at least 30 days from the day I received the letter (not 30 days from the date on the letter) and that I should call again when the 30 days are completed. I followed your previous post with the same questions.

This really frustrates me, I guess I will have to wait until Monday to call again. :(

you have not been transferred to a Tier 2 IO, right?... these people, who you speak first - grrrrrr:devil: . This answer, about 30 days - just ridiculous!!! Especially, when CSC usually sends ACS Notice 2-3 weeks after submission of I-751... But seems like this is the only thing they are well-trained - "30 days" reply, for everything  :(

i'm sorry.. yes, try Monday - maybe more luck and different person will not deny your request to be transferred to someone who could SEE if biometric has been scheduled.. because this is the last thing you would want to miss.

I called too, had no luck with tier 2 either. However I had a nice lady that seemed more or less knowledgeable and she said not to worry too much even if we miss our appointment it will be rescheduled. The main thing is to follow the steps. To let them know we never received a letter and that's why we never made it for the appointment and then to make a service request after 30 days.

However I also booked a time and date for an infopass at my local office for the 24th(32 days after my NOA-1 date), since they are the ones who actually do biometrics and also talking to a real person(not people reading answers off the screen) might help things.

That's a good idea!  Probably, if your bio appointment was scheduled, but you just have not received the Letter, but you are still not late too make it - the local Office could print it for you.. Sometimes it happens. Depends on the person you will meet there, of course, but anyway  - ACS appointment is up to your field Office, and I don't see a reason why should you wait 30 days, for example, if appointment was scheduled and you still can make it  .. why just not to print it out and let you be there on time..

Hopefully, you'll receive the Notice before 24th..

I thought I'd at least show my serious intentions not to miss any appointments and also if I receive my letter before then I can always cancel it.

My AOS was completed in 77 days. I guess this time around with ROC USCIS. wants to give me a much harder time.

Well, my AOS took 15 months... Probably, it was our "pay back" for extremely fast I-129f - 3 weeks from submission to NOA2 :):) soooo, should we expect 'fast"  ROC? :)

here is a link, June 2016 I-751 filers... Page 143 has the latest spreadsheet.. At least gives us some idea how long it takes, currently

Ha ha, Idk maybe you will have a fast ROC. Only God knows. My i-129 was quick too 42 days from NOA-1 to NOA-2 (I had an RFE, submitted wrong birth certificate form for my husband) and 91 days all together from NOA-1 till I got my visa approved.

My NOA1 date is also June 8 and I still haven't received a biometrics letter yet. Yesterday I finally called USCIS and talked to a Tier 1 guy. Since it's been 34 days he put me on hold, contacted my local office and when he got back to me he told me that they are going to send out a letter very soon and that I can call back on August 13th (30 days later I guess) if I still haven't received anything by then. I really hope that my letter is on its way now ...
