So I have a legitimate concern. We think my husband is getting a job in Minnesota. I am in the middle of getting enrolled in school and I know that if I go there and try to get in school there, I will have to pay an out of state tuition. Right now, we can't afford it, plus I don't want to go to the freezing MN:( I wonder if it's going to be a problem with my ROC? I already applied and got my NOA....

Any advice will be appreciated!

Thanks

I'm a week behind you... And so far it looks like nothing is "moving" since June 12...

Hopefully, yours will arrive nest week.

I don't think so..  Even if you are called for an interview, you can always explain WHY you had to be apart.. And it sounds really reasonable .. to me, at least (I'm not about freezing MN :)  - although I love Minneapolis) :)

Thank you for your response Ksenia~ I supported my husband in his journey to get a degree and now it's my turn :D

So not everyone has to go to the 2nd interview?

. If the documents you sent in are not enough or not sufficient for USCIS to adjust your ROC.. when yes, you may be called for an interview.

But as far as I know a lot of  people get ROC approval without this... I would dare to say  - most.

I heard couples are called for an interview if the evidence they submit  is sketchy...

You are right :) I've corrected my comment. But still - I believe they will send RFE first. If and THIS is still  sketchy, then yes, most likely  - interview

Make sense. Either way, I shouldn't be really worried. We have a normal, healthy marriage so I submitted a lot of evidence ;) Was just a bit concern about his move/me going to school thing..But like you said earlier, it's all very reasonable. Just don't want any snags. Lol

No idea, at all... the only thing I know  - ROC currently takes at least a year. Somebody mentioned 12-24 months.  So, it could be months before somebody "alive" gets to your case..  and it depends completely on that person  - if IO will be fine with info you have originally submitted.... months ago, or - would like to get more info from you, or -  just up-dated info on what you've already submitted...

Wow~ That's so long...I thought that if you receive the NOA and Biometrics appointment then someone "alive" is looking at your case. Lol

Would be great, but - no :) NOA1 and biometric appointment mean  that fees are taken and your application is accepted (not rejected) to be processed. But when?.. I wish we all knew.. .

My AOS took 15 months, and now, when I think about another possible 15 months.... grrrrr....Yes, you understand :)

So, basically, after our bio metric received by USCIS, our cases are sitting and waiting for IO to be adjusted.
