There some VJ folks have been  here,  who had their ROC approval right before N400 interview/approval, so they or have never gotten their 10 years green card or had them for few days/weeks :)

I was wondering the same thing, and whether or not we can apply for citizenship while we're still in the removal of condition process?

You can send your application for Citizenship but they will put on hold your application since your ROC is still pending approval. Sometimes they do the concurrent interview of your ROC and N400, this is based on what I know for some members here experienced.

Well, it's hard to tell for now... When we filed for I-129F, it got approved withing 3 weeks. Now it takes up to 5-6 months. AOS - was 5-8 months, mine took 15, and what's now - who knows... ROC used to take about 6-8 months, now seems like at least a year..   N400 will be filed with your local Office, so you can take a look at USCIS time line here... Again - it's CURRENT, and what it'll take a year later - a question :)

You can file as soon as you are eligible to do so. Most ROC cases are siting "in line" and untouched for months, waiting for IO to get it done. Plus - ROC is not a priority for USCIS.  So, sometimes your pending N-400  application can "push" USCIS to take an action on your ROC  - because, yes, it must be adjusted first anyway.... unless, of course, there is a pending  background check - in this case nothing will "push" , just have to wait until the background check is over...

Ksenia_O is there anyway to find out when the background check is complete for I-751, do they send something in the mail?

I will most likely be filing my N400 before the I-751 is approved.

Thanks :)

I might be mistaken, but I don't think they will let you know what's going on until you file an inquiry of something due to long processing time..

Let's pray, even if this check happens, it won't take "forever".. Fingers crossed!!! :)

Amanda,

They will never let you know the results of the background check.  If they have concerns about the background check they will contact you via a letter.  If you don't receive anything then there is nothing to worry about.

ROC

6/05/17 NOA1 received.  (Dated 6/1/2017)

6/17/17 NOA2 received.  Biometrics Appt. on 6/27

I have few question, please reply :

For I-751 the fee mention in this way in USCIS website :

1 : The filing fee for Form I-751 is $595. A biometric services fee of $85 is also required for petitioners.

    A : Can i made a combined check of $680 ?
    B : Two separate check of $595 and $85 ?

2 :  I am GC holder and my wife is a US citizen.

A :  For part 7 who is Petitioner  (GC holder  or US citizen ) ?
B :  For part 7 who is Spouse  (GC holder  or US citizen ) ?

Combined check for $680. This is what I did and it was cashed already.

Yes, I was confused by this. Petitioner is the green card holder. Part 7 is the green card holder and part 8 is the US citizen.
