Yes, the form automatically fills in the information based on the spouse details that you've provided. You don't need to write the name, just leave it as it is but don't forget to sign where signature is required.

That's right! The form does not accept slash so I had to manually write N/A :( My form is not as pretty as I would have liked LOL

Thank you very much, PauPau. I thought my spouse needed to write his name, because mine appeared automatically. So, he just need to sign.

I just had a "joy" to talk with a Customer Service...

Well, definitely nothing has changed and people you get to talk FIRST obviously know zero and even less. The same as 2 years ago, which is sad...

I just wanted to know if my son (he is dependent on my I-751, Part.5 ) is getting his own Extension Letter and separate biometric appointment..  The guy I had an "honor' to talk with stated, that my son wasn't supposed to be on my Petition, because we entered the US at different time, more than 90 apart from each other..?????!!!!

I asked WHERE he is getting this info? An "awesome" answer was received - from the I-751 Instruction!!! Really?...I had the Instruction right in front of me, so I quoted, word by word, what exactly the Instruction says  -  "If you have dependent children who acquired conditional resident status on the same day as you or within 90 days thereafter, then include the names and Alien Registration Numbers (A-Numbers) of these children in Part 5. of Form I-751 in order to request that the conditions on their status be removed as well " .. There is nothing about entering - it's about time of acquiring the residency. That's it!

I had to ask two more questions -  to clarify if we are looking at the SAME Instruction.. and actually at the same website.. ???  And why, if I'm wrong, my check has been cashed with ONE filing fee and TWO biometric appointment fees.... Well, the guy got puzzled...

After that I asked to transfer me to a Tier 2 officer.. Now waiting for their call to be returned... If it will :( Grrrrr...

Congrats!!! :)

I renewed mine one year after I received my 2 years green card, and it was given for 6 years.as well.. So, don't have to worry about this till 2023 as well...  Such a relief, right?  -  to know that you are "free", at least, from visiting DMV any time soon, especially when we know that ROC can take a year or even more...

Yeah it's weird, but it feels so much better knowing that if I need to switch employers or whatever I can verify employment with DL and social card, rather than trying to explain what that extension letter is supposed to be.

right!!! That was my first thought when I got my DL renewed and I saw it's valid for 6 years - NO EXTENSION LETTER needed if I decide to switch the job!! :)  Joy!!!:jest:

Alright.. Got to talk to "higher" level officer.... Even worse :( They messed and mixed up EVERYTHING  - I-485 with I-751, I-131 and etc.... He was trying to transfer me to higher-higher level officer.. Whatever that means... and I've got disconnected.. Well, another 75 minutes wait..

Update. USCIS "higher-than-higher" level officer called... OMG, finally I got to talk with someone who knows exactly what the I-751 is about!!!! :)

For those who have children on their I-751 - kids should receive their OWN NOA. Biometric appointment - depends on their age, but NOA1 (an Extension Letter) should be sent to each person on the Petition, including dependents.

P.S. She even checked if biometric appointment was scheduled for us.... It was really hard to get that person on hold, but it was really worth it!!!

So lucky. Our DMV only issues a driver's license for the period of your legal status, which was 2 years with GC and it expires in September for me. Then they will only issue a drivers license for 1 year with extension letter and once I have my 10 year GC in hand then I can apply again. Ugh.

Legal Permanent Resident since 09.15.2015
