Am I still able to join the armed forces while on the process to remove conditions? I want to join the Air Force

Good question. I wanted to join Air Force last year and I read in several from places that you have to be a permanent resident. I was under the impression that permanent residency is after your ROC approved....But someone here told me that even a resident based on conditional green card is considered a permanent resident. Which is true>?

Yeah .. Sometimes, watching air companies employees at the airport THERE, I question myself if they know exactly what they are doing... ??? Unfortunately.

And the problem is - there are also knowledgeable people there,  but most times your flight is - or early morning or night.. And if there is a problem or something - you can't even make a phone call to Air company Head office or call for anybody like supervisor or so - they usually start working at 7-8.00 a.m.. and you have to deal with their representatives at the airport. and sometimes I have a feeling - as soon as night at the airport, they "create" their own rules about boarding :(

Hahaha very true! Россия, Украина...Все наши такие

Ok, I have a question.. Is anybody here, who has dependent on I-751?... Just wondering - I've already received my Extension Letter, waiting for biometric appointment.

But what about child?..... Has anybody received an Extension Letter for a kid as well?.. like a week later or so?...

I spoke with my recruiter and unfortunately I won't be able to join till I get my 10 years green card. So army it is for now. When I'm done with my 4 years I might go to the Air Force depending of how things are. But as about the green card, they told , I can join as long as my green card has 6 months left before my basic training.  After basic I can get my citizenship at no cost. My husband applied for the capital police , so if he doesn't get the job there he ll enlist with me

I'd love to join! How did you start? Thank you : )

I know being able to join the military is wonderful. It has a lot of benefits such as good healthcare plan, paying your housing, and GI Bill as well. Also being a veteran makes you easy to find a job since many companies put veterans first on their list.

And yes, if you could join military, no fee cost for apply a citizenship and if you are stationed outside they will adjucated your application.

You are welcome ;)

It should be under MyUSPS/Mail dashboards. And you will receive an email, or text msg - depends on your sign up settings, - if something is scheduled for delivery. I get an email about 7.00-7.30 a.m. But MyUSPS shows this info earlier.

You will see ALL mails, coming to your address .

Here is an amazing tread about this. There is a guy there, who works or used to work for USPS - don't remember for sure :) . He explains so well how it works and what to do if you are having problems to sign up or set it up.

Thanks a lot again! I got an email of my mail this morning (7:26 AM) .. SO AWESOME! I will check out the thread too! :-)
