Another big concern I have is traveling back home right now. A lot of people told me to stay put right now due to the recent travel ban and etc...Well at least till I get my ROC approved, but that might take more than a year... I really want to go home. I haven's been in ages..

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated :D

It's always a risk when you leave - only US citizens are guaranteed the entry. But I've traveled with EAD, with green card and  -  I'm going to Ukraine in August !!!! :):)  So far everything was fine.

The only thing concerns me is to travel with an Extension Letter. And it's not about entering the US - it's more about getting out of our home countries.. I'm not sure if they are aware of such thing as an Extension Letter..

VJ folks, who traveled with the Letter, say that's fine, no problem.

Also, from my experience - with a green card you save a lot of time at Customs, coming back. Usually you are not pulled to the secondary and you can let yourself to have shorter layover between flights.

With an expired green card and an Extension letter I'm sure we should think about having  enough layover time if you have another  flight in the US on your way back.

All that makes great sense! Thank you for your feedback. That's why I'll be waiting to travel. It's like my mom said : " We waited this long, what's few more months " . :D

I get off the country at least 10 times a month because I'm a flight attendant , I never had a rude cbp or giving me attitude or asking me questions. They are always nice. It's completely different feeling , entering the US with a k1 and completely different with a green card. Last month the cbp told me very nicely that my green card is about to expire , just to remind me , and to apply to renew. They are always very nice!

The same here - I have never had any troubles coming back. Even with EAD, when secondary is a must, everyone was nice and kept to apologies for a possible delay and etc...

So, anyway, I'm traveling in August  - will let yoiu, guys, know, how everything went :) .. can't wait!!!!!

I wouldn't worried about that, honestly. I have a friend traveled with green card expired accompanied by an extension letter. When I asked her about that, she said didn't have any problem at all. Especially after Trump got elected. I have never traveled outside of the US since I came here in 2014. So this is not my first-hand experience.

Also, keep in mind that. The more you leave the country, how long you stay in the US is started counting and you have to be at least 3 years being residence ( in total) based on the marriage to your original petitioner to apply for a citizenship as far as I know. Others can correct me about that though.

Good luck Hun! It seems like you wanted to be an Air Force flight attendant and will lead you to work at Air Force one.

I spoke with my recruiter and unfortunately I won't be able to join till I get my 10 years green card. So army it is for now. When I'm done with my 4 years I might go to the Air Force depending of how things are. But as about the green card, they told , I can join as long as my green card has 6 months left before my basic training.  After basic I can get my citizenship at no cost. My husband applied for the capital police , so if he doesn't get the job there he ll enlist with me

Yeh, our countries is the only concern I have/had. They sure can be difficult ;)

Yeah .. Sometimes, watching air companies employees at the airport THERE, I question myself if they know exactly what they are doing... ??? Unfortunately.

And the problem is - there are also knowledgeable people there,  but most times your flight is - or early morning or night.. And if there is a problem or something - you can't even make a phone call to Air company Head office or call for anybody like supervisor or so - they usually start working at 7-8.00 a.m.. and you have to deal with their representatives at the airport. and sometimes I have a feeling - as soon as night at the airport, they "create" their own rules about boarding :(
